First, sandwiches in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and lower New York are called hogies, not subs, but I'll let them slide. I've lived in New Jersey, near Philadelphia, for many years, and the sandwiches (hogies) and pizza are excellent, second only to New York City. I got the large cheese steak hogie, no peppers and onions. In Philly, cheese steaks don't come with peppers and onions unless you ask for them, so I ordered a classic Philadelphia style cheese steak, with just raw onions. In Philly, they also offer both cherry and banana peppers on the side for free. I didn't see any. The sandwich was very good, cheesy with a hint of seasoning and good amount of beef, I thought I was back in Philly again. Another famous hogie is the Italian, which will be my next choice when I go back. (I recommend looking at the website for all the available choices.)
The only problem I see with this store is it needs to move to a better location with more space for customers and preparation of the food. I and others were bumping into each other, trying to make room for other customers trying to order. This also makes eating in the restaurant an uncomfortable situation.
Bottom line: Excellent food and definitely worth your money and a place to...
Read moreThe food is amazing and the staff is amazing. That’s not what I want to say today. My grand daughter lost her 1200 dollar phone outside the establishment and they actually picked it up and kept it for her until we checked the life 360 and it took us there . They had it behind the counter and were so happy to return it with a smile on their faces. They were so gracious and happy to see us . Honestly counts for everything. I love these people. What a wonderful staff ! You can’t find that in a lot of places in the world today. You can trust the folks at Jersey Mikes. Thanks again for your service, support, great food and hospitality but most of all HONESTY. …...
