Lizzy's is a coffee experience. We're extraordinarily lucky to have a coffee bar in Ketchum that is so darned great. Lizzy's wraps up great fresh coffee beans, perfect espresso, with excellent barista's, wonderful latte art and cheery staff. OK, you don't need great latte art for great coffee, but its a nice personal touch. Lizzy's buys beans from around the world and roasts them on site. They have total control of your coffee experience. The coffee beans are always fresh and your coffee is delivered with a smile...and creative latte art to bring a smile on your face. I would be remiss to neglect to mention they have a wide selection of curated equipment for home coffee brewing, be it espresso, pour over, French press, cold brew or mocha pots. Lizzy, the owner and the staff are well versed in how best to brew coffee however you wish to make it at home. I recently received an education in how best to brew coffee in my moka pot.
I am lucky enough to travel frequently. I'm always searching for great coffee and great croissants. It is rare for me to find coffee that is as good, and consistently good as Lizzy's. Alas they have no croissants.
The downer is that the coffee bar is only open from 8-11 Monday-Friday.
Try Lizzy's, you...
Read moredI ,As Idahoans we were excited to share some local sites with our friends who had never visited our state. One be of those places is Lizzys. Our 2 families visited and got 8 drinks (4 for the adults and 4 for our Grades Kindergarten - 3rd children). There was good conversation with the staff and a connection with another patron - which may turn into business. This is everything a good coffee shop atmosphere should be. Our children were well behaved and the staff engaged with them well. Then the owner expressed concern over what the kids may do to the stainless steel counter tops saying "I'm not running a preschool here." (inaccurate for the kid's ages and pretty rude to say to a parent). Obviously, we weren't welcome so we left - embarrassed that we recommended the stop to our friends and pretty disappointed in Lizzys. To be fair, the man behind the counter seemed to realize what had happened and was apologetic in nature. Still decent coffee for the area, I'd still say the best, but I don't know what to think of the...
Read moreCame to Idaho to visit my sister, who had sent me a bag of Lizzy's coffee and told me it was the best in the Sun Valley area! We had really enjoyed making espresso with the Talent dark roast at home and were excited to try coffee made fresh at Lizzy's. It did not disappoint! I loved my espresso, the ladies behind the counter were so sweet and friendly, and they were also super accommodating with my slightly weird order 😆 You can tell the time and care that is put into making great coffee. It was so neat to look around and see all of the coffee making supplies, and we gladly snapped up the last 2 bags of Talent while...
