I went to the Penn Station store on Woodman Drive in Kettering, Ohio on 1/29/2018 and attempted to place a carry-out order. The employee taking my order was very rude and wasn't listening to what I wanted to order. I asked for a pizza sub and she repeated it back as a steak sub. I insisted I wanted a pizza sub, not a steak sub. She asked me options once again that I recognized for steak sub ( would I like mustard or mayo) I told her for the third time that I wanted a pizza sub the way it was listed on the menu, not a steak sub with those ingredients. I assumed I had made myself clear finally with that sub as she moved on to the next sub on my order. I finished, paid and proceeded to make a phone call while I waited for my food. I left the store with my food, somewhat distracted because I was on the phone but without concerns because we had such a lengthy ordering process. When I got home, however, I opened the bag and read the ticket and sure enough I was rang up for a steak sub with banana peppers. Not even close to what I ordered, and so far from our conversation that I am not sure if it was spite. I immediately called the store to explain what happened and was asked to hold, while I could hear employees conducting business in the background. After a minute or two, someone came back and said "This is *." I started to reexplain what happened, and didn't get to finish my sentence before they interrupted me. They offered me a remake on the sandwich if I were to drive back to the store tonight, or a coupon in the mail. I was so disgusted by this employees complete disregard of my issue, not even pretending to care enough about what happened to listen to my first sentence, that I simply told them I wouldn't be coming back to their store again. Unfortunately, they are the only Penn-Station within reasonable driving distance for my family so I guess we are no longer Penn-Station customers. I honestly have never received such poor customer service from a restaurant before. I will definitely be passing along my story to my friends and family and be looking into leaving reviews on...
Read moreBeen coming to this location for years. Had a very dissatisfying experience with an employee Tammy who took my order. She seemed very short with me when taking my order. She greeted me and asked to take my order. I told her I would like to order the chicken Parmesan on the monthly special. She asked if I wanted to eat in or carry out and I told her eat in. She asked what I wanted to order and I told her again I wanted the monthly special. She then in a more firm tone asked did I want to eat in or carry out. I told her a second time eat in. She then in a more harsh tone said what name on the order. I gave her my name. She then asked again what I wanted to order. I told her again the small chicken Parmesan sandwich on the monthly special. She then asked if I wanted fries and what size of fries. I asked âDoesnât the special come with small fries?â She said, âYou want the monthly special?â I said âyes.â And then Tammy said well then Iâll have to start this order over, you need to tell me you want this as a special. I then told her I did 3 times. I donât think Tammy liked my response but at this point I felt I was being treated rudely by Tammy and I didnât appreciate her tone with me which was short and curt. Her attitude continued on until I paid for my order. I normally enjoy coming to this location and I plan on coming back. As for Tammy maybe she was having a bad day and I was just the unfortunate customer who had to deal with her. I hope if I encounter Tammy again I have a more positive...
Read moreThis was one of the worst sandwiches I've had in a long time. Ordered reg size cheesesteak, light onions, xtra mushrooms, xtra cheese & sm fry to go. When my order was ready, I kept thinking that was the quickest that "any" Penn Station has ever cooked a sub I've ordered. Got home and the sandwich had no flavor/seasoning, seemed to be missing about 1/4 of the steak, looked like lite mushrooms, didn't look like xtra cheese, and the steak was not fully cooked. I put the sandwich in the oven to cook the meat the rest of the way, loaded the meat on 2/3 of the bread and ate it that way. I remembered back to when I was waiting for them to make my sub, that another dine in customer had taken her sandwich back up and asked the employees if her sub was raw, but she went back to her seat with the sub, so I figured it was OK and didn't think much about it until I go home and saw mine. But now I realize that whoever the tall guy was who was making sandwiches must be in a big hurry for some reason, because they weren't busy, and I was the only one waiting on food during this time. So either the employee doesn't know how to cook subs, or he just doesn't care, or he just wanted to cook the food fast so that he could talk to the other employees. I would rather get a good sub rather than a quick sub. Either way, this was terrible & I won't go back...
