This is a review for the 1880 E. Dorothy Ln. Kettering, Ohio. On Friday 10/31/25 I pulled into the drive thru at 9:26pm. I spent the next 40 to 45 minutes trying to place an order and get my food. It started of with pulling up to the menu to order and being told they would be with me in a moment, 7 or 8 minutes later someone came on to take my order. I ordered 2- $5 bags, 1-$7 bag and 1 triple cheese burger meal which amounts to 4 burgers, 3 small fries, 1medium fries, 3 nuggets and 4 drinks. I pulled to the window and paid, then sat at the window for 10 minutes waiting on my order to be given to me, was then told to pull forward even though there was no cars behind me. I pulled forward and sat there for another 20 minutes. One of the employees final came out with 2 bags of food and started to walk away. I stated to the guy who brought my food out that I had ordered 4 meal and was missing all my drinks and come to find out the medium fries. The employee then tells me that he will go get that taken care of for me. About 2 minutes later a lady comes out the door who I assume is a manager/ shift manager and starts to recite my order to me from a receipt. I tried to explain to the lady that I was aware of what I had ordered, but the problem was that I was missing a medium fries and all 4 drinks. The lady then began to reread the receipt to me and at this point I have had all I can take and informed the lady that if she was going to do nothing but argue with me and not get me the food and drinks I PAID for, she could just take what of my order I did get and refund my money. She then just walked away telling me that she was not going to do that and that I would have to come back another time. Now I'm really not one to do google reviews and in fact this the 1st one I have ever done as I work in retails sales and know what it's like to work with the public. I am fully aware of what customer service is, and the Wendy's at 1880 E. Dorothy Lane Kettering Ohio is the furthest thing from it. In all actuality the service at Wendy's 1880 E. Dorothy makes crappy customer service look good. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had and I'm not just talking fast food, the worst customer service period. This Wendy's was so bad, I will not just never got to this location, I will starve to death before I will eat at any Wendy's ever again. The entire night crew working at Wendy's 1880 E. Dorothy Ln. Kettering, Ohio should be fired immediately, the building bulldozed and a better restaurant...
Read moreEdit: Wendy's in general has been pretty bad over the last 10 years, and this one was teetering on that for a while. I pretty much gave up on Wendy's in general a few years ago, but they have my go to meal when I'm not feeling well so I generally give them a chance once a year. First problem was when I drove up to the drive thru window, I told them my name (mobile order) and they told me to go inside. It is 15 degrees right now. I barely want to open my window, much less get out of my car unnecessarily. Do not have the option of it is not an option, or train your people to do their job correctly. I know this is a tall order with one of the industry leaders in under paying their employees, but it is still necessary. Second, the temperature of everything makes me wonder when the food was made. The fries were barely body temperature, the chicken sandwich is a little better but still well within the temperature danger zone. And a long that same thought the chicken itself is dryer than the bun. This is a double whammy, cold and dry. The flavor of the spices in the breading is still one of the best but the preparation is trash. Third, I don't know if the individual franchises can do anything about, but the prices have gotten insane for the quality of food. This combo cost a little over $12. I also got a chili because there was a $3 off coupon, making it essentially free. I know for a fact that the food cost of this meal is about 15%. Wendy's is robbing the population blind with these prices. I would let the franchise know but they don't care, and probably never will. Hopefully someone will see this and change their mind. Feel free to read my previous review to see how far Wendy's has fallen.
As far as Wendy's goes, this is the best in Dayton (even before the remodel). Food is usually hot and fresh, and the lines move quickly. I drive a mile out of my way because this is so much better than...
Read moreI would leave a zero star if I could.
After a fun trunk and treat, our kiddos were starving. We found the nearest restaurant and now regret it. My friend and I have six kids under the age of 5 and two of them are special needs. We ordered and waited for our food as normally. Our kids were loving the Halloween decorations and one of the employees came out and showed them how they turned on. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, our kids were restless and were running around playing tag and touching their decorations. There were not any do not touch signs posted and after the employee showed the kids how to turn them on they thought they were cool. People who ordered after us were receiving their food before us. We were trying to manage our kids and keep them occupied but you know how difficult that can be with young kids. One of the employees came out and said that we had to leave because we were "breaking their decorations ". They refused to give us a receipt, refused to give us a refund, and refused to give us our food. They told us that if we didn't leave they would call the cops. We were just two mamas trying to feed our children but instead were being disrespected, accused of destroying property, and were being treated unfairly. I chose to call the police. They came and said nothing looked broken, that we legally had to leave, and that if we wanted our money back we would have to go to small claims court. This isn't even about the amount of money I spent. It's the principle that I paid for a meal and was denied it and then trespassed from their location. After looking through their reviews it seems like this is common and I do not know how they are still in business. I felt bullied, belittled, and that I was in the wrong. I have contacted the corporation to discuss my concerns. I take responsibility that I did not doing my research before bringing my children to this...
