Maybe it was a matter of being Thanksgiving, however, the restaurant was not that busy, and every table served by other waitresses were getting things fast or at least attended. Our corner was waiting for utensils for over 25 minutes, when she finally brought them with only one drink (a Strawberry-Banana Smoothie), only brought one set of utensils and straw 🤔 Hello? There are two at the table. Then another 25 minutes go by and finally the second drink (a Sprite may I add, fountain drink) showed up, oh, and without the 2nd set of utensils and straw. We had to asked another server and finally we were issued a straw. When we received our food was not a complete order, for what I canceled the side I wanted with my meal after I had almost finished my food. She dared to ask, oh yeah, should I go get it? To what I said no, even though I already had asked another server to cancel the side order, she said they were having communication issues. No sweetheart, they just didn't want to carry your weight for you, due to them being busy as well, and able to manage their tables, ugh 😕. Is a shame because this Applebee's was the best in the area, and now is just ugh 🤢. You can see that is run down and the scene is just rude, and not tasteful. Not saying the waitresses are rude, that at least they have right, is just people around cursing very loud (granted they're drunk), but the establishment should keep those in check. Needless to say, they corroborated the reason why we rather drive to Copperas Cove and it on that Applebee's than support this one. This could have been a lot of different issues, such as the Kitchen's fault (Nope, my food was good, and tasty, took long, but on point), it was a holiday (well, it wasn't that packed, we waited less than 10 minutes to be seated), the take-out line was running extremely slow, with a long line of unhappy people due to erroneous orders, I asked (well that explains the time my order took to come out), but, what reason does this particular waitress had to be so bad at her job and just completely ignore her tables and forget to check my order for correctness? Maybe she was new and this was the first true test she went through? Well honey, you failed. I still gave her a small tip because is the holidays and I also know how hard is to wait tables, but I cannot ignore that the restaurant is lacking good customer service and for that we from now on will go somewhere else, unless is the only thing opened, oh no wait, there happened to be a Denny's and 2 IHOPs that open 24hrs which we end up going there to finish our night with coffee and desert. We just needed to leave the place. So, to the management team, you have lots to do to make Killeen's Applebee's at lease good again, not sure if they can bring it back to 4-5 stars if they don't address the little things like attention to detail and oh yeah, great customer service. If the people there think ignoring customers is that, well you're wrong 🙄...
Read moreWe used to be regular customers but stopped visiting over a year ago because the service and food had really taken a downturn. We decided to give them another shot and came in on 2-13-23 about 8pm with a party of 12 as we were told they could accommodate us. Upon arrival, the restaurant was not really busy. The experience that we had was terrible. We did not get out of the restaurant until 10pm!!!! From the time we placed our orders until food began arriving at the table was about 45 minutes. The food arrived at the table in bits and pieces, some not at all. We repeatedly had to ask about the status of our food. My friend ordered a burger with waffle fries. His burger arrived with no waffle fries. When we pointed it out the server said she would get them right away. Someone finally brought the fries 15 -20 minutes later but they were loaded waffle fries that he did not order. So they had to re-do them and brought them 10-15 min after that. Obviously he had long finished his burger. Another person we were with ordered a ribeye dinner and mac and cheese with chicken. The ribeye arrived 40 minutes after ordering, it was overcooked and over seasoned. The mac and cheese arrived about 20 minutes after that. The bottom of the bowl has about 1/4" of water in it like the pasta was not drained. Another person who was one of the first to order had ordered the pasta alfredo. Just noodles and some alfredo sauce. His was one of last to arrive at the table... over 1hr for just some noodles? His also had water in the bowl. After an hour and half the food trickling out to the table, then began the battle of getting our checks. I finally had to get up and go ask another server if we could get our checks to cash out. The server could not seem figure out how to print up our checks and finally asked for some help. We had 6 separate checks and each check ordered their food together yet she was printing out checks "per individual". She did not give me a check for the item I ordered. When I brought it to her attention, she brought me a check for an item I did not even order. So I had to wait for that to be rectified. It was one thing after another and after everything that was going, a manager never even came to our table!!! Truly...
Read moreWent to Applebees with my wife 2/28/25 Got placed at a really nice servers table, however the server openly admitted this was their first night. No problem, I am not a angry person im rather patient. However... a 45 minute stay at Applebees turned into a 2 1/2 hour stay, most of the time sitting there not really getting service at all. Why? Well, the BRAND NEW SERVER was overstacked with Tables and you could see them trying their best with Zero help or Shadowing or assistance, where other areas were getting help which made me question... why? I asked for a few items and never got them, I never got any drink refills and the poor server was literally all over the place and just simply couldn't manage to keep up. Management is fully to blame for this, why did a manager never come out and help? Why did you never assist your BRAND NEW server? The food came out, we had a half rack of Ribs and fries for one entree and the other was the Honey Pepper Chicken Pasta, The ribs were Lukewarm and fries seemed as if they were sitting there for some time.... Not worth the 1 1/2 hour wait that was required for me to get these items. We then ate our food, only to ask for the check, which... once again took 20-30 minutes to acquire this, not that its purely the servers fault because as stated they were completely overstacked for a Brand new person.
Server was very sweet - Outside of that, the entire time being there was just not worth the 41.11 that I paid for the food and the "experience".
Not sure if this is a regular thing for Applebees nowadays but honestly... Severely dissapointed.
Called to speak with Manager Twice. First time I was left on hold for over 30 minutes to no response at all. 2nd time left on Hold for 15 minutes - No avail again. Calls placed at Noon.-12:48 Just not worth waiting a entire hour for a phone...
