Coffee Beanery Killeen Mall — Restaurant in Killeen

I am in town for work and I LOVE to support local businesses. I especially try to support women and minority owned businesses. This place is an utter letdown. I ordered through a delivery app which I always do. They accepted the order. I received a mssg saying the order was being prepared. It was going to be 40 minutes but that was fine....then I received a call from the driver...she had just arrived to the restaurant and was informed that they did not have ANY of my order available. Not the breakfast, the grilled cheese OR the soup. They DID have the coffee but it would have to be ordered as a new order bc they never prepared it since they didn't have all of the items. The restaurant never called to inform me. Now it is AFTER breakfast time bc I waited nearly an hour and it's time for me to catch my ride to work which means I'll be going into a 12 hour shift without food OR coffee.

Long time customer but this last experience has soured me from ever coming back. I made my order and swiped my card and waited. They were majorly busy like every seat taken and hey cleared out the store great. After they clear out the store they tell me my card didn't swipe. So i had to go to the food cafeteria to get my card. While i did so they got another rush. I had to rewait in line to pay and they still hadn't even started my drink because they were making the orders from the second rush. They had 4 people behind the counter. They could talk with other mall employees but they couldnt start my drink i already waited 10 minutes before they even told me I had to reswipe my card( and their was money on my card)...

I'm still trying to find out if you really can enjoy a high quality black coffee from a shop without brewing it yourself. I've had plenty of opportunities to taste, but never many that I enjoy.

The "grown-up" grilled cheese preaches to my nostalgia. But I had a much better experience with stale wonder bread, vegetable oil, and dry great value cheddar cheese than I did here. Their sandwich had clumps dry hard cheese in between bites, and more bread than I appreciate. The only saving grace is that I'm a total cheese head.

The coffee is just okay. It's very difficult to be delicate with coffee, so I understand. I'm just disappointed.
