I showed up checked out the menu and was really excited with the multiple options they had!! Ordered my food waited about 10 minutes and got my plate. Super hot and fresh as can be! I cannot really begin to tell you how good the wings were. Just gotta try them. The rice was cooked perfectly and was so buttery and flavorful. The beans were sweet and savory. The brisket in the beans was money!!!! The plates were hearty too. No light scoops or tiny servings. We bought lunch for the crew 2 days later and everyone is raving about their lunch!!!! Chicken, shrimp, brusket, Philly fries, Philly eggrolls, wings, all of it was superb! Give these guys a try or youre 100% missing out!!!! I'll say this.... have the expectation that this is a popular, privately owned business. Don't expect to sit down and eat mediocre food within 2 mins of ordering. The few extra minutes of waiting is far outweighed by the taste and quality of the amazing food these folks are putting out!!

I drove all the way from Dallas to try JC BBQ and it was worth the entire 2 hr drive! The food was delicious, it had that down home feel and taste! I had the Mississippi pot roast over mashed potatoes (only served on Thursday’s) with Mac and green beans and my wife had catfish with baked beans and Buffalo chicken fries. I couldn’t keep my hands off her fries, they were so cheesy and good! The pot roast was literally perfect, it was seasoned immaculately, tender as a baby’s bottom and lots of gravy, the potatoes were homemade and delicious, the Mac was cheesy and rich and the green beans were well seasoned and paired perfectly. I would return to this restaurant and order the same thing a million times. The only problem I have is that there isn’t one closer to me! Go try them, you will not regret it!

I ordered through the waitr app and this was my first time trying this particular BBQ spot. I had to call them first to ask a question and the gentleman I spoke to was very accommodating. My food arrived and I was pleasantly surprised that it looked like the photos on the menu (great start). The Nachos have changed my requirements for nachos now (I loved them!). The ribs were tender, the Mac and cheese wasn't overly seasoned which I appreciated because not everyone can have a lot of sodium and the greens were well cooked ( I did wish they had a little more seasoning for taste) but some hot sauce made everything alright. Overall I have found a new BBQ restaurant that has great portions and prices! Highly recommended.

Ordered the Mississippi Roast to go and was told it came with rice underneath the roast. I get my order and head back to work. Get to work open up the container and its mashed potatoes instead of rice and I specifically asked which plate came with rice before I ordered. I do not eat mashed potatoes. I did pick the roast off the mashed potatoes and wiped the remaining potatoes off the roast which was very good. The collard greens and baked beans were also good. If they would have given me the rice I'd give a 5 star but come on, I specifically asked the lady at the counter taking my order which plate had rice and she said the Mississippi Roast plate. If you're out of rice just tell me...its that simple. Don't assume it's okay to substitute a food item without even telling the customer.

Sir when I ordered I specifically asked which plate came with rice and she told me the Mississippi Roast plate. I then asked her to make sure because I don't eat mashed potatoes and she assured me it would come with rice. So me trusting her and taking her word instead of checking before I left was my mistake. I'll never trust another employee of a restaurant that what I specifically asked for is what I received. It's pretty sad I have to double check people but it's places like yours that force customers to do this. I also noticed in your responses to customers that have had a problem that you're never (in your mind) wrong. Sir when you're wrong just be honest and admit it. It'll go a long way with folks to see a business owner admit when he/she is actually wrong. I give you another year and you'll be closed down unless you change your know it all attitude.

Your food was actually pretty good but the attitude is a huge no-go with me. I would have returned but not now. I've been in this town almost 60 years and can remember the original Maurice's Real Pit BBQ...That man knew how to bbq and how to treat...

I was hesitant to try this place because of it's location. I had seen reviews in the past about the establishment that used to be there, that said the food was going. So I thought this may just be the same people with a new name. I'm glad I decided to go anyway, because what I found was brisket that would rank in my top 10 of all time, and I have eaten stuff from Lockhart, Llano, Taylor, Austin and even Kansas City to name a few. The fatty brisket, with that beautiful burnt bark on it had me sold from the first bite. There's just enough seasoning on it to add to that smoky flavor without overpowering. Now that being said, the sides were good, but nothing that would make me go back there on their own merits. But with brisket this good, who cares! On the way out, I saw banana pudding on the write board and had to try it. Took a spoonful when I got in the car, and the entire thing (which is a good amount) was gone by the time I pulled into my driveway about 10 minutes away it was just that good. I will also say the interior leaves a lot to be desired. It's just blah, kinda drab and dark, and I'm not sure there's air conditioning (though the temperature was fine) and the pool table just seems out of place. But I guess give time they may worry about the dining area later on, for now that food will sell itself. Yes, I'll be...

UPDATE: I gave em another chance!! The food was pretty freaking good, the brisket meat is nice and tender and the sauce they put on the those meaty ribs is so flavorful and the collard greens were chefs kisses. For what we got I felt the prices were fair. Though I still feel that the time management is a slight issue, we ordered pick up and we arrived at the time they said it would be done. Unfortunately we still had to wait an additional 10 to 15 minutes for the order to be ready to take home. They were not visibly busy this time, the Mac and cheese also wasn't a hit with our family. For these reasons I've changed my review from a one star to three.

Waited well over 20 minutes to make a takeout order. Wasn't greeted or spoken to AT ALL, Untill I asked if they were even taking pick up orders. And that was after 10 minutes of watching employees walk by and saying nothing to waiting guests. The people who did get food seemed to be enjoying it, and it smelled really good the prices posted were fair. But considering I and another customer left without being able to place an order after 20 minutes is disappointing. Will try ordering with them again! But not during lunch time as they are not efficient enough to deal...
