I'm a new employee at this store and I can verify that none of this is true! I was here a week ago when the health inspector came & personally walked her through the inspection. We received no demerits receiving an outstanding grade. Our restaurant is cleaned daily including our restrooms, walk-in cooler, and prep tables. As for the employees being dirty and not washing their hands, we are not only reminded constantly about it but also have to watch a video and take a class on proper food handling, The drivers are expected to wash after coming back from a delivery, after using the phone, and the restroom before ever handling any food from the oven or on the prep tables. And as for the A/C not working, well hello its 100+ degrees outside and your standing next to an oven set at 485 degrees it's going to be hot!!!! But yes our A/C and heater work just fine. Now as for the pay and hours, I have never gone without being paid. It's true that we may not get paid hourly plus like other delivery places but we do get paid and nightly at that. Our system is a little different where instead of hourly we get paid commission, delivery fees, and tips on a nightly basis. This usually works out better for us because we can make a lot more than getting paid just hourly, though true we have our nights where we are slow, but in the long run we make more this way. Now as for the flyering, we are NEVER made to flyer. If and when we decide to flyer it is because we want to and we are rewarded, so to speak, by being allowed to take all the runs from whatever buildings we flyer for the night. Now if you decide to flyer on your day off than you DO get paid for doing it. Now as for the atmosphere here. Yes we get our occasional asses that work here but for the most part this is one of the best places I have ever worked. Rene, the owner, is one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever worked for. We are a family restaurant and yes I mean that literally. The majority of the staff here are family and the rest of us are treated like family. We are never treated like just another employee like a lot of other places. You are told from day one that we are a family and are expected to act as such. Read moreI've been a chef for many years. I ran a brick oven pizza place back in Massachusetts for 2 years now. I currently am at fort hood and my platoon decided to order pizza and other things. Let me just say this was a disaster two and half hour wait for the food. I'm not going to complain about that though because it was a big order however the food was unacceptable. The lack of quality in there pizza was the start rubbery, chewy, cardboard prebought dough for sure. Not to mention there was no cheese on half my pizza and it's not like it was smeared or anything it just wasn't there. On top of all of this they tried hidding it by drenching the pizza with bbq sauce. The worst part out all of it has to be the chicken parm dried out chicken with noodles and almost no sauce. Sauce isn't even expensive espically when your running a restaurant where everything comes out of a can. The sandwich was a breadwhich with a weird piece of "steak" and one piece of cheese.
