Rock And Roll Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Killeen

I do not mind supporting small businesses, but I feel my experience was so-so here. Here is my honest opinion in hopes it might help improve the experience. Staff was friendly, and the place in clean and inviting. Aside from the wall mural, I am not sure what is rock and roll about this place. There is an assortment of blue-bell ice cream choices, and all sounded fantastic. However, when staff where asked pricing on items, they had to take time and search the menu behind them as if they were looking for the first time. Some of the ice cream also looked like it had been left out to melt for a while. At the time there were about 3 staff behind the counter, one doing the the work and the the two appeared chatting. While that is all and fine, it left me with a sense that the customers attention was not their concern and honestly, 1 person was doing the work of the 3. If they are there as extras for training, or family of the owner, fine, but business is business. We also tried the Italian ice but most of that turned out to be ice crystal hard clumps, and not smooth Italian ice. While the base product is good, so work needs to be done to deliver that product is a good state. With how things are right now, there is not much to have this place stand out from others in market. Most definitely the best ice cream parlor I have experienced both here in Killeen ,my travels abroad and definitely My Favorite Place to enjoy specialty foods and desserts- Philadelphia and the East Coast. The friendly, individual & personal service Is 2nd to none. My experience with Rock and Roll Ice Cream last night was a very good one. The product was very good. The staff was nice and provided good service. Looking at the 1 star review and I do understand your complaint and it is valid. Being last night was day 1 and I have been lots of day 1 openings where there were glitches and bugs to be worked out.
