Always a consistent great quality meal. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. We LOVE the new bruschetta with balsamic drizzle! You can still order the original with the pesto, so be sure to ask for the one you want. The pick 4 calzone is always a great choice. You choose 4 regular toppings to put inside your calzone along with the mozzarella and ricotta. One of the few who do a calzone right in Kingsport. Calzones are half moon shaped WITH ricotta, Strombolis are a crescent moon roll with mozzarella but without ricotta. You can get any topping, but there is a small extra charge to add those that arent in the "regular" category. The sauce is amazing. It goes on good on pretty much everything. The drinking glasses are huge and they keep them full. Everything has always been very fresh and flavorful. $1.25 cheese slices on Monday are a perfect time to bring the kids in for lunch and dinner. They will "kid-cut" the slices for them as well. We love this place and will return often!

Regular pizza is absolutely delicious!! The bbq on the other hand is bizarre. A bbq pizza anywhere is bbq sauce, cheese, chicken, and red onion then drizzled with more bbq, here I recieved a bbq with marinara base with a bbq drizzle. Not good. No where on the menu did it say it had marinara sauce. The point of a bbq pizza is no marinara. They did offer to remake it with no marinara but waitress said it would have been an upcharge on top of it already being an upcharged specialty pizza. We had dined in and this was a to go pizza so we did not want to wait around even longer, it was pretty busy, so we just paid and left. Just a heads up to bbq pizza fans make sure you specify no marinara lol

This is the first time we have ever been although we had contemplated going several times before when driving by. I ordered Johnny's bruschetta for an app, oh wow, I could not stop until it was gone and it was gone fast. I ordered a build your own calzone and my husband had a steak and cheese 8" pizza. The food was amazing and filling. The staff was super friendly, the hostess plus the waitresses were making sure everyone was completely satisfied. They also have an app so you can order online and a loyalty rewards program which is nice to earn points for the money you spend. Overall I'm SURE we will be returning.

I am debating between 4 and 5 stars. I have suggestions but I have only had one truly mediocre experience here and that was when the food was late and it was a to go order and they gave me the wrong salad but I was charged for the more expensive Greek salad which is the only salad I eat when I come here. Anyway, I called and was told I could come back within 30 days to get my salad but was unable to make it due to unforseen circumstances but I think this limit should be extended as I've never had an issue with food here and I'm a long time customer so it's not like I'm trying to scam anyone out of a small Greek salad. Lol. I didn't feel like they were apologetic eithet. Food is amazing here. Service isn't as good as it used to be it seems but it depends on what day you come. Sometimes it's spot on and other days not so much. We usually get to go orders and will play games if it's going to be a few minutes before the other comes up but their has been a few times we've had to wait longer then expected and so we go back to the car and wait. Today we had our food up right on time which was perfect. We do eat inside 20% of the time.

But.. In hopes the owner sees this as a long time customer I'll beg to please change the new game room area up some. It's been changed a bit through the years. The claw machines are a one and done for me because the items are set to where you can't win and too tight/ heavy items. It can't pick anything up and they have 2. Useless. I played once but won't play again and I am really good at those machines but no incentives to keep playing when everything is packed too tight. No interest in playing the games (they have 2) but the one in particular appears rather boring. The kids toy machines are gone. Maybe because occassionally they broke so maybe that's why they took them out and replaced with kids claw machines but my son loved the toys/ candy. Also why not add the car racing game back, I'm positive they had one years ago but my son was just a baby at the time. It's basically the only thing he'll play with besides the 50c candy and toys you can buy but they took them all out. They now have claw machines for kids but it's basically toys a 2-4 year old may like but not a 8 year old and those were practicallly empty so no use anyway as they needed more toys in them. There's nothing for my son to enjoy now besides the food. Yes I realize food is the main reason for coming here and I'm not trying to nit pick but I see amazing potential for an already great restaurant. Speaking of food, they have amazing food. The best calzones and good pizza and pasta too. I also love the wings and Greek salad. I do understand the game area is very small and there's not much they can do to please everyone but something to consider, even if possible to consider an expansion as it would greatly increase foot traffic here with families end bring in more money. Just my two cents. Plus it would be one of the few family restarts in Kingsport with an arcade outside of Galaxy pizza who has mediocre pizza in my...

First time eating at Johnny Brusco's... was not impressed. Our server was terrible... we were advised it's because he is new. He did not give his name, and I did not notice a name tag. I do understand being new and being slower due to this, but until fully trained you should not be on your own. When taking our order he could not answer any questions regarding the menu, and stated "idk what's on the menu, I just bring the food." Having previous restaurant management experience, that is unacceptable. if you are truly that new, management should not have you alone.. you should have a shadow. After ordering was finished we waited 20+ minutes for food to arrive. During that time we were not checked on or offered refills on drinks. Finally the food started arriving. Generally you would get appetizers/salads first... not this time we got pizza slices first, but only 2 of the 7 slices we ordered. Then came the salads, but only 2 of the 3 we should have and still no appetizers. We had to ask multiple times for those to be provided. Finally the main entrées were brought to the table... that was almost okay.. Chicken Alfredo but no chicken. I asked the server 3 times to fix this... or atleast bring me the chicken on a plate or something. Finally after flagging down another woman, who advised she was not really a manager, we received an apology. After that I was finally brought chicken for my entrée, and the entire meal was comped. Which I do appreciate, as well as the apology but still no appearance from a "manager". I was advised the owner was there on my way out, but I decided not to stay as I felt I had wasted enough time, and others in my party were just ready to go. Overall I feel the young woman provided an equitable resolution for my issues tonight, but if that will be the normal standard of service I will more than likely not be returning for...

I'm doing this because I've loved Brusco's. Something is happening with this location and it's not good. I refuse to watch it destroy itself and I'll gladly change my rating when it's fixed. We eat there 2-3 times a month as an after church sunday lunch ritual. We chose Brusco's for our Father's Day meal and had the owner's daughter as our server. It was a disaster. Started the meal with sweet tea's with just a few small ice cubes floating at the top. We used our lemons on that round of tea's. I understand hot tea on ice and what happens, so you gotta fill the cup with ice before pouring hot tea on it. After a minute the ice was completely gone and we requested a another round of "ICED" tea's. Which didn't happen for a long time, because she was out of clean cups. We had plenty of cups on our table not being used. For $3 a drink it's reasonable to expect ice in an Iced Tea. The pizza was okay.. not what we would normally expect at this location. It was very soggy and wet in the center. In the end we had a charge for extra lemons, the round of lemon slices that I had to ask for with our replacement teas. The owners daughter was very rude and arrogant about her position that she would not take that off of the bill. A slice of lemon should be included with a $3 Ice Tea. She put my wife thru hell with this issue. I was just blown away that on Father's Day, the owner was no where to be found a his daughter was so bitter and rude. I'm in sales and I could never in a million years treat a customer the way we were treated. Or we'd be shut down. The current owner has done an amazing job restoring this location but I've spoken with multiple people that were treated poorly recently. Please fix it so we...
