McDonald's — Restaurant in Kinston

We had an eventful day and decided to go here to grab a quick dinner for the family. We understand the lobby had just closed and we had no other choice but to go through the drive through. No biggie at the time. . . And mind you it's 10:19 at night. We order a lot. And as we are driving off Im checking the bags to make sure we have everything. And course we are missing a burger out of one of the 5 dollar bags we ordered. As we drive back, the drive through is outrageously packed. We were kindly going to get the attention of a worker that was by the door in the lobby just to see if we could get our 1 burger we were missing. There was an older white guy sitting in his car who happened to be a manager. He rudely said the lobby was closed as he sat in his car parked right outside the front door to McDonald's. We told him we were just trying to get our burger we were missing out one of our kids bag. He got even more rude saying we have to wait in line again like everyone else. We ordered 50 dollars worth of food and waited 25 minutes the first time. So we got back in line. When we got back to the window at 10:52-10:55. . . . A lady was trying to help us. And at this point I had broke out my fish fillet sandwich and wanted to take a bite. There was the smallest dab of tartar sauce up there. Not even enough to lather one bite. So I also asked for some tarter sauce. Well this young guy in a vest wanted to get nasty with us because he didn't check our bag and make sure we had everything, so he was mad we asked for our simple Mc double we were missing and got even more mad when I sat at the window and didn't want to give me tartar sauce. I literally had to open the sandwich to show him there was NO tarter sauce on the fish sandwich and tartar sauce comes with it. All our food was cold at this point. And sorry to say McDonald's fries are disgusting when they're cold. We got nothing but attitude because they messed up our order. And our family got to eat cold food that night with water downed drinks because we spent almost an hour in line trying to get our food. We will not be spending our money at this location anymore. We stay closer to burger king and Wendy's but we chose to drive further down the road to go to our local McDonald's to get a Mc Attitude!!!! Y'all's service really sucks. And when it comes from the shift manager and his shift leads, that's pretty sad. If you don't like your job find something else to do. Because we didn't come with an attitude but we dang sure got one. Day time service is much better. . . Don't go here after dark....

It's ok there don't let other negative reviews discourage you. They are nice people and work hard. Since the last time I wrote a review about this McDonald's it has gone down Hill drastically, I went through the drive through line after midnight and it took them so long to get to people that some cars started pulling off as did I on one occasion but the thing that got me the most is one of the employees working there acted as tho I ruined her day by going through the line, the girl stated to me it was only 2 people there working in which I can understand that but it's not my fault when they are short staffed and are don't want to work. I quit going to this particular location and also quit going to the one further on down the road across from Murphy store because at the other McDonald's on Vernon not only did they mess Coffee up I ordered 1 time but it happen again, if the employee doesn't know how to make the Mcfrapee ice coffee why have him making it. I get off work I'm craving a Mcfrapee and they hand me a Mcfrapee I know is wrong just by the color of it and the taste is just as off as the color 🤦‍♂️. I came to the conclusion to stop going to that location as well and just go in a store and buy coffee I know is mixed right without having to pay 2$ for Mcfrapee at McDonald's I am going to pour out on the ground because it's not made right. I wish and hope they get it together there are quit and let people work that take a little pride in their job. So for now people don't waste your time at night going through the drive through of either of these McDonald's on Vernon Ave here...

I call this location HoodDonalds lol. This McDonald's is unprofessional and ghetto. Someone told me that this location went down into ground once they got rid of the old managers and renovated the place. Once they started hiring those young managers that's when the quality of service and food went down. That place is a hot mess. One time I went there, and one of the girls did not know how to make coffee and she also just told me that "She was just here". There's countless of times when I went in there, they gave me back the wrong change (I notice it before I left). They use to allow gang members and just anybody to walk in talking real loud about topics (Sex &HIV) that were not appropriate for anyone to hear when they are eating. Most of the time, they did not order anything and they just hung around there.

It was unsafe environment and now that I think of it, they should of had some security there. Some of those very desperate employees use to flirt back with them. This HoodDonalds use to be unclean. There was a latino gentleman who worked in the dining area who use to ease drop on the customers conversation. Sometimes the tea use to be sour. Last but not least, some of the women workers were ok, but some of them had Nasty attitudes and will stare at a woman who seem to look nice and well put together almost in a small bit of jealousy. They need New Management and New Workers because this HoodDonalds ain't hitting on anything. Corporate please do something about...
