Lately this location has had problems. I've had everything from tasteless frappuccinos to frappuccinos that were made with chai by mistake. Today you couldn't see any dark caramel syrup in my drink. I took it back inside and told the employee the pictures and advertisement definitely show a dark caramel syrup. To my surprise her reply was you have to order it that way the store needs a lot of help it seems there's only one or two people there that know how to make the caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino it's never a consistent good taste with any of their drinks. I told the employees today that their district manager needs to come in and talk to them all and straighten them out hopefully this happens. I myself was in the restaurant business for over 20 years you never tell a customer that they're wrong. Again my frappuccino .today no dark caramel syrup tasted no coffee and it whatsoever probably one of the worst frappuccinos the frappuccino that I got yesterday it's not much different looks from one that you would get from McDonald's isn't that a shame. It had regular caramel syrup drizzle all inside my cup it was horrible.
I want to add to my review it's been a few weeks ago since I texted all that I just want to let you know that they got better there for a while but back to the same thing nothing is consistent at the store whatsoever. They must have a high turnover in employees or something because like I said nothing is consistent at all I went there today used up the last of my points and also spent money as well for what two drinks to taste of nothing like cold whipped cream no taste of coffee whatsoever. I'm disabled so it's kind of hard for me to get out of my car and go inside every time there's a problem with my drink. Why is it that you can go to another Starbucks and it's good every time the consistent but not this one in Kinston they need some help badly. I'm just disappointed and tired of wasting my money here cuz the days when it was good me and my wife would go as many as four times in one day. But not anymore enough is enough because they don't care about...
Read moreThis place was the worst Starbucks experience my husband and I have had in a very long time. First their location makes it hard to get in and out of. Because of this the drive thru was so backed up we went inside. Big mistake! We ordered two lattes and waited 40 minutes to get it. Once we got them one of them was made incorrectly. For as much as these drinks cost you think they would be made consistently, so we asked them to correct it. The staff first got an attitude, then made excuses so they wouldn't have to correct the problem. The manager finally came up to the register and spoke with my husband. She said they would remake it but it would take a while since they were backed up. My husband pointed out that we had already been waiting and we should get the corrected drink before a new order was made. We finally got the London Fog Latte, made correctly 10 minutes later. They had left the vanilla out on the first one, which is part of how the drink comes. No special order was made. Then as we tried to leave the parking lot it was so backed up it took another 10 minutes for us to be able to get around the drive thru. An hour stop to get TWO drinks is ridiculous and this staff clearly didn't care about customer service because they did nothing to make the situation better, nor did they apologize and act friendly to any of the customers in the store. In fact, there were several customers besides us expressing how bad the service was. We will never come back to this place. First time to ever stop at this location...
Read moreProbably the worst management I’ve ever seen in person. I have several years in the industry as a manager myself, and I was floored at the attitude and blatant disrespect the management had for their team while there yesterday. I overheard a staff member ask their manager about an issue that happened the day prior, and she was seeking a follow up as well as guidance on how to handle the issue in the future. That’s an amazing attitude and drive to see in an employee. You should nurture them and help those that are actively trying to do better. However, the manager near the register immediately shut her down, told her not to concern herself with problems, not pay attention to these things, and to leave them alone entirely. Ignoring the shortsightedness of that, to loudly do so while customers are within earshot is terrible. To humiliate and shutdown an employee in front of coworkers and customers makes them not want to do their job, and, frankly, I don’t blame them for that. Doing it so blatantly makes me believe it’s a common occurrence.
The regular staff are doing an amazing job there, and I will continue to keep going...
