BABAI Dosa is a food truck that offers a nostalgic vibe, reminiscent of enjoying hot dosa in your car, just like in India. The service is quick, and we tried the ghee roast dosa, paneer dosa, and chicken dosa. The ghee roast dosa, although slightly thick, was a favorite with the kids. However, both the paneer and chicken dosas were overly spicy, and no spice level options were offered, likely assuming that being Indian, we could handle the heat. Only coconut chutney was served alongside the dosas. The experience is unique and worth trying once, but the flavors might not suit everyone, especially those sensitive to spice. On the plus side, there’s ample parking available behind the house where the truck is stationed, making it convenient. Overall, it’s a one-time try for the vibe rather than the food.

My experience at Seattle's food truck continues to be disappointing. I would really want to give a better rating to this food truck run by elderly couple but I have to be objective about my experience. The ponnugulu had hair, the Dahi Puri was a disaster - the curd had a bad taste and I almost felt pukish. The dosa was decent but it could have used a bit more salt. Their chutneys were really good though. It's true that coming to a south Indian food truck, it is stupidity to ask for Dahi Puri but why do you even have that in your menu ? There is no chat masala, no tamarind chutney. Don't expect hygiene at this place. It is very possible that my day was off and my experience was bad. But even on a good day probably this place can be 3.5 at best.

This food truck has a simple, focused menu and serves up classic dosas with generous portions. There’s no seating area, so it’s more of a grab-and-go experience, and wait times can be a bit long—we waited about an hour. The food has a homemade quality that keeps you coming back. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu, and they do add quite a bit of ghee to each dosa, it adds a nice richness to the flavor. The taste can vary a little with each visit is what I experienced, which gives it that hand-prepared feel, though consistency could be improved. Overall, for the price, it’s a decent spot if you’re in the mood for dosa, but it could benefit from a bit more consistency on what they plate and slightly shorter wait times.

Absolutely Amazing Dosa – A Must-Try Gem Near Costco Kirkland!

If you're anywhere near the Costco in Kirkland, do yourself a favor and stop by Babai Dosa Food Truck — just 5 minutes away and completely worth it. This place is an absolute treasure for anyone craving authentic, delicious South Indian flavors.

I tried their dosa, and wow — crispy on the outside, perfectly soft inside, and bursting with flavor. The chutneys were fresh, rich, and absolutely on point. It’s clear they put a lot of love and care into their food. You can taste the authenticity in every bite.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they really made the experience feel warm and personal. You don’t often find that kind of service at a food truck!

Whether you're a dosa lover or new to South Indian food, Babai Dosa is a must-try. This place is more than just a food truck — it’s a culinary experience. Highly, highly...

TL;DR - This place is not for dosa lovers. The target audience are just those who’d never make dosas at home or never had the good fortune of eating a street style dosa anywhere in southern India.

Went there with the excitement of having found a food truck with a Telugu name. In my mind I was imagining this to be something that’d be comparable to the taste of dosas back in Hyderabad. But the whole experience was far from it. I realized I make better dosas at home. I didn’t have to drive all the way and wait for more than 45 minutes to experience beginner level dosa making skills and boring chutney and no sambar. I appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit of the business owner but this quality won’t cut it for me and I’m sure for other South Indians whose palate has high standards for dosa quality. The Seattle area truly has a long way to go before considerable competition forces high quality of...

Priced reasonably for a food truck in Seattle/Kirland and ample parking lot that may not be so obvious, but you can find it with the instructions placed neatly.

Dosas size is generous and the owner was managing everything on his own, so respect 🫡 . We ordered Nellore Karam Dosa, Ghee Masala dosa and Spl babai dosa. You may skip the spl dosa as it is all mix fruit juice with a bit of everything in the kitchen, tasted unique.

Egg roll however was sad. It was loaded with Mayo and Ketchup, just dint taste right. I expected sauted veggies or some decent filling, but loading it with Mayo or ketchup is just too basic and not worth your money. I hope he comes up with better ingredients.

Ran out of tea at 7:30PM and chat is supposed to be seasonal not served during winters. That was a bummer, we expected hot chai and samosa chat to be available in winters to...
