We were around the Kirkland area and decide to give bobalust a visit since we haven't been to this location before. We were greeted as soon we came through the doors. Customer service was on point, I asked a few questions and I ended up going the OG milk tea with 0% sweetness. Originally, I was going to order at 50% sweet, bc I didn't see a 25% option and then employee who was helping me asked me if I tried their 0% sweetness before and offered a sample. The 0% sweetness was actually just right, so I'm glad I was able to try it out first! We got regular ice level and with boba and the drink was good! Boba was excellent consistency, more on the chewy side, but not hard in the middle or anything. I would say the tea doesn't have a super strong tea flavor, its a little more on milky side, but still really good. I personally like my boba tea with a stronger tea flavor, but I do enjoy to change it up every once in a while. Another plus is that they have the small cubes of chewable, slushee ice inside their drinks. I feel like its more fun to drink bc you are able to sip up ice with the straw as you get to the bottom of your drink.
They have lots of different drink options and a secret menu! I think next time I'll try the pure tea options. I did try the Thai green tea in the past and I remember it being really good.
Best of all their store is dog friendly and we are alllll about dog friendly places! They offered our pup Koda some chicken for a tasty treat! Super friendly, clean atmosphere and lots of board games to play! We will definitely be back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe drinks here are really sweet. It is more sweet than Starbucks and baskin robbin. It is best to get 30% or no sweetness. I have gotten 50% and 50% here feels like 100% at Happy Lemon.
The workers here are generally friendly and fast. The place has cute plushie decorations and board games (jenga) behind the counter.
I have been here a couple of times to meet with friends. It can get really loud on a weekday after 3pm. After 3 pm, nearby high school kids like to come here and chill. The noise level goes up significantly. The music played here wouldn't be something your coworkers want to hear in the background. I would not come here to study. There are some outlets and wifi. Wifi is good enough for web surfing.
There is no easily accessible water. You will have to ask the workers for some.
There is plenty of seating and lots of longer tables. It is a good place for groups. There is some outdoor seating. It is covered but not heated.
This place has one gender neutral bathroom. When the high school kids come, for some reason 5-6 of them will go in and hoard it for 20+ minutes.
The parking here is easy and plentiful. The parking lot never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBobalust is new boba tea shop, next to Ace Hardware. The lobby is the size of a large dancefloor, which or now, is plenty of room for your socially-distanced pickup.Ā I got my kids a strawberry smoothie, a mango slushie, and myself a Thai tea (all +boba). Their boba is fresh and sweet, and I was intent on not losing any in the crushed ice.Ā Another alluring fact would be their reasonable pricing, which is $4.50 -5.50 per drink including tax, which definitely beats other places.
I treasure poking my wide straw through the taught plastic and enjoying the delightful drink, I always ask for 50% sweetness, it's still sweet, with chewy boba surprises along the way. What is Boba you ask? It is tapioca starch from the...
