delicious and juicy chicken -
This is our fav Korean fried chicken place that we have been to at least 5 times. We have tried all the flavors, and our favorite is original and soy gangjung (spicy soy and ginger flavor). The soy gangjung is close to soy garlic, but slightly more spicy.
We usually just order half and half with original and soy gangjung, then the shake shake fries with cheese powder. The vegetable cheese one was fine, but not as good (not as cheesy lol). You can also take half the fries out, use half of the powder, then use the rest to dip your original chicken. That way, you get original fries, cheese fries, original chicken and cheese show chicken.
Their cashier is usually polite, but the one today wasn't really a customer first type of person. My order is ready, but he was all over the place doing random things without giving me my order. Customers are definitely not his priority, which was a first because their cashiers are usually on top of things.
Still, I definitely recommend trying their fried chicken. It's better than a lot of Korean fried chicken places at the Eastside. The other two places with good fried chicken are the third place in Redmond and so tasty...
Read moreAs a Korean, I'm very picky about my Korean Fried Chicken. I'm used to a certain quality and flavour, and before this place I was always unsatisfied. Chicko Chicken is the Korean Fried Chicken place I have always wanted near me.
The fried chicken is fried to perfection. I've always been partial to bone in chicken, but my partner likes boneless, so I hesitatingly picked boneless for our first order here. The boneless chunks of chicken are huge and juicy. So full of flavour! I haven't even gotten the bone in chicken yet because of that, but I'm sure bone in will also be delicious. I'll probably try that next time.
The chicken flavour we got in the picture was half regular, half yangyeom. The regular is classic and yangyeom is slightly spicy, sweet, and tasty. We have also tried the soy garlic, which is also delicious.
As for sides, we always get the fries and the pickled radish. The radish are a must, really. It's a perfect fresh break for your mouth so you can keep eating the fried chicken. The fries are also great and always so crispy!
We have only done take out so far, but the gentleman that greets you at the front is so nice. Great customer service...
Read moreI have eaten here twice and will certainly return for more. We tried both bone-in and boneless chicken.
Pros: Flavors: The original isn't bland at all; to my surprise, it's on point. The HB is a bit spicy ( not too spicy for the taste but it builds, so be careful). For the first bite, it's more curry-based than gojuchang-based, which is a bit off for me. However, it improves as you continue eating and I love it.
Texture: This is the best chicken we've found in the area. It's crispy outside, very juicy inside, perfectly cooked, and has the right amount of batter to coat the chicken.
Service: The staff is super friendly and helpful if you have any questions.
Pricing: Very reasonably priced either for an individual or a group.
*Cons: This is petty but I don't like the fact that I have to pay for the pickled radish when I've ordered a dish. We eat the chicken too fast, we forget to take photos.
Tips: I highly recommend their Shake-shake fries (fries with spiced cheese powder). The bone-in chicken provides more flavor, while I think they use thigh meat for their boneless chicken which is the best for boneless. Both are...
