I came with high expectations a couple weeks ago, as this place specializes in beignets and the reviews rave about them. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed and had to throw them out.

The beignets were EXTREMELY oily (I should not be able to see oil drops on it!) and they were made with a puff pastry type dough (not the soft, doughy, chewy expectation we had).

When you can see the oil in fried foods, one common mistake is that the oil wasn’t hot enough. I’m not sure if this was a one time thing that happened but it was very unappetizing.

We ordered a few coffee / matcha drinks which took very very long for them to finish. I kept checking on the progress but the workers were not prioritizing finishing my drink and instead working on other things or orders. It was very disappointing and frustrating, if I hadn’t gone inside to check on my drink I wonder how much longer it would have taken. The workers should be working on finishing one customer’s order at a time, it’s frustrating to see them take another order when mine is not even done yet. Perhaps more than 2 workers should be on staff because I noticed the extreme wait time for an another fellow customer too for his beignets!

The reason we came here is because we have been craving beignets since we tried them at Disney’s Port Orleans resort recently. I imagined this place could be even better since they have beignets in the name. Disney’s knocks it out of the park. At Port Orleans resort, they are huge, soft, doughy (not puff pastry), and perfectly fried (not oily). Our beignets at Disney also sit out for a while before we ate them and they were still warm, indicating that they are fried in much higher temperatures there.

Attached are some pics of the amount of oil on the napkin from having to squeeze it out and the puff pastry beignets after that. My hand was shiny...

Beignets & Brews is a super cute spot in Orlando that offers a unique experience. I love the idea of being able to order a coffee/tea with a treat you’re unlikely to get anywhere else.

My first impressions of the store was amazing! Gorgeous branding and coordinating interior. I also loved their photo op spot near the front door and their LED sign above the seating. They also have cute tables outside. I loved their digital menus, super easy to read and feature high quality photos of their products.

However, I was pretty disappointed by the attitudes and professionalism of the girls working. Not a very friendly welcome when we came in and they made us feel rushed when we were trying to decide what to get. While we were waiting, a man walked up to the counter after sitting for a few minutes and was ready to order. One of the girls who walked up to the register said to him “Are you going to order something?”. Yikes… While we waited for our beignets, the girls also talked about a variety of topics that I don’t think would have happened around the owners. We were uncomfortable throughout our wait and would have at least liked some music playing to block out some of their conversations.

The beignets themselves were delicious! Made to order and served hot. We opted for the traditional, just powdered sugar, and paid $7.99 for 4. I thought they were a great size and filling for a little sweet treat. I took off one star because I don’t think they’re quite as good as an authentic beignet, but yummy nonetheless. While they were delicious, I will most likely order online next time to avoid the...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An Unforgettable Experience at Beignets and Brews!

My daughter and I had the most amazing time here, thanks to two incredible women—Keyshla and Sahara—who made the atmosphere feel boutique, chic, and so welcoming. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this wasn’t just a place to eat—it was an experience.

My daughter has loved beignets since she was little (thanks to The Princess and the Frog), and this visit made that love even stronger. The beignets were perfection—simple yet extraordinary, exactly what comfort food should be.

The food overall was top tier. I had the BEST chicken tenders of my life, and my caramel macchiato was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

It was so good that after bringing some back to our hotel for my husband and sons to try, we had to return the very same day to get more! That says it all.

If I could open a Beignets and Brews in Maryland, I absolutely would—just to recreate the impeccable atmosphere, hospitality, and quality they deliver. We are beyond grateful for such a memorable experience.

P.S. Girls—if you remember, I mentioned this while we were there: if you want to take those amazing chicken tenders and beignets to the next level, create a signature sauce with that incredible cream cheese dip. Add a little cayenne or crushed red pepper, let it melt into a drizzle—perfection!

Thank you for bringing something so special to the bakery and café space. We now have our signature spot that we’ll visit every single time we come to Florida. You’ve truly made our second home...

Beignets & Coffee? What more could you want? Beignets & Brew is named simply and literally: they serve beignets, they serve coffee, and that’s what you got. They had about 5-6 types of beignets alongside the traditional with powdered sugar. We got the original and tried the “turtle” ones, which had a lot going on but were really delicious. The traditional beignets were drowning in powdered sugar as they should be- they were fluffy, soft and warm on the inside with a tiny bit of crunch on the outside. Now, I’ve had the best of the best beignets at the original, famed Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans. It’s nearly impossible to find any beignets that compare and I don’t know if any could ever be better, but these were probably some of the best beignets I’ve tried outside of Cafe Dumondes. They were super enjoyable. The coffee was good too, but definitely super sweet. Everything you could get here, even the traditional beignets, are sugar overload. If that’s how you prefer coffee & pastries, then this place is sure to hit the mark. We also had wanted to try the Kings Cake themed beignets as we saw pictures and King Cake is so good- but it is only a special during Marci Gras season, which makes sense. Will just have to come back when it’s that time again. The store is a bit weirdly setup- it’s really small and there’s hardly space to sit inside let along stand in line. But they’re connected with the bar & grill next door, so you can sit out on their covered patio there, which was spacious and plenty nice.
