Cracker Barrel has always been one of my favorite places to eat when I used to live in Kissimmee and even when I moved away I would come to have a meal with my family/friends. Today my friends and I felt uncomfortable and speechless. Our meals were great as always but our waitress was not. We have experienced racism before but it has been a while since. Let me walk you through our experience. We were seated and very excited to have breakfast at 7:40am. Our waitress came by our table, never introduced herself, and immediately asked what we would like to drink. We placed our drink orders then started to play the triangle game (super fun by the way). We were having a great time chatting and challenging each other. At this time our waitress brought our drink orders and asked if we were ready but since one of our party went to the bathroom we asked for a few minutes. A few minutes later our waitress returned to our table to place our orders. We placed our order then continued our conversation. After some time our meals arrived and was quickly placed on the table. My friend asked if the gravy had pork, as he does not eat it, and the waitress answered yes in a tone as if we were an inconvenience, then continued to scoop the gravy and walked away before we could ask another question. We all looked at each other and couldn’t express how we were feeling but knew exactly how we felt because we observed our waitress attending to other tables with kindness and patience. She returned to the table and asked my friend “since you’re not going to eat the gravy do you still want biscuits?” Again, the tone and body language was obvious that we were an inconvenience. Once again she returned to our table to bring some bread along with the bill, before ensuring that we were okay or needed anything. Not only we were given the bill before we were asked if everything is okay, but she knocked over a menu into my friend’s food and didn’t apologize. At this point we were speechless and wanted to say something but didn’t. We continued to have our meals that we were super excited about while observing our waitress waiting on other tables, passing us by not once asking if we were doing okay or if we needed anything else etc. We even waved to another waiter to ask for some water. We finished our meals then left baffled, sad, upset and again speechless! Will not be returning to this location...
Read moreI'm not one to post reviews that are truly bad. But I have never been so upset and humiliated at a Cracker Barrel as I have this one. Something was going on with the manager and the waitress they were feuding and put us in the middle of it the manager came over acted rude. The waitress was mad and told us to slap the bacon onto the plate and let them take it to the back so she could go show it to the manager that was humiliating for our family on Mother's Day I brought my wife and kids here I'm disgusted with how they handled stuff I could tell they were feuding over something between management and staff and they put us in the middle of it and ruined our experience for Mother's Day breakfast. Yes the bacon was not cooked and we didn't want to get sick. They forgot a portion of my meal by the time they did bring it out I had already finished my meal. When they brought it out it wasn't worth eating it was not cooked right it was it was hash brown tots that pretty much was just mushed up balls of I don't know what. The manager said you called me over here we told him no the waitress called you over here this is how I realize that there was a lot of problems going on with the staff and management at this establishment and they took it out on us. The manager didn't seem to Really Care other than what can I do for you and then the end he did nothing he did not make us feel better only seemed more mad about the waitress throwing the bacon up in his face about it not being cooked. The manager never once apologized for the service that we received he seemed most aggravated that he was called to our table because of the waitress that was waiting on us we never once asked the waitress to get the manager she insisted on it. Did the manager do his best to ease our mind and have us come back here and be a repeat customer no he did not and I will never be back to this...
Read moreHad a beautiful breakfast this morning with a coworker and definitely needed to review this one. We decided to change it up a little bit and try something different and we were both very happy with our selections! He had grandpa’s country breakfast that included chicken fried chicken, hash brown casserole, and eggs along with their famous sawmill gravy. I went with the hash brown Bene, which is a new item. I opted for the impossible sausage, and my sides were grits and the hash brown casserole. The portion size wasn’t very big but considering it’s a starchy breakfast I’m very OK with that. The seasoning on the Benedict was on point it was so on point I felt that it didn’t even need the hollandaise sauce, but the hollandaise sauce was a nice addition to the meal. The hash brown casserole was cooked perfectly and the grits were amazing! According to my coworker, the chicken fried chicken was O.M.G! He tore through his meal in a matter of minutes he loved it that much! Our server was at our table at least three times, and the restaurant was busy. She made sure we had everything we needed and Vinson. I’ve been to this location quite a few times and I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad service here. The associates in the store were very helpful and even helped me pick out a little gift for my six month old niece. They were not overwhelming by any means or pushy for me to buy anything, which I greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend this location and if you’re ever in the Orange Blossom neighborhood of Orlando and get a little hungry or are in the mood for some fun trinkets I would go to this location even just to...
