It's not it used to be. No friendly waitresses to come to your table to take your order. You walk in and place your order on a computer, then seat yourself. My friend had a gift card, but the computer didn't recognize as loaded, because we had to flag an employee down to help us. She had to get a manager, because the employee had to rering up the entire order, and she couldn't get the gift card to work either. My friend had a combo meal, and I had milkshake because the employee when ringing up the order again, saying curtly a few times, there's no drink that comes with your combo. I knew that, we both ordered milkshakes, and I decided not to get the combo, because I have trouble speaking at times, because of a head injury that happened at Disney. I apologized repeatedly, that I was saying the wrong thing, because the employee was flustered me. After that, I wanted to just leave and go elsewhere. I don't appreciate being yelled at. We took the receipt, sat at a table, and I noticed my milkshake order was wrong. My friend flagged down the same employee, and said she would tell the milkshake maker. When I got my milkshake, it very thick, more like a McDonald's flurry than a milkshake like Steak and Shake used to make. My milkshake was the consistency of melted ice cream with oreo cookie bits. If you have disabilities, you may want to just go thru drive thru. I used work fast-food, years ago at McDonald's. We were trained to be polite, and if people had trouble speaking or language issues, we waited, we promoted, we didn't yell or be rude to customers, and make them feel unwelcome. Read moreI ususally love steak and shake but this is by far the worst location I have ever visited. Before I start I want to say that this review is not an attack on the staff. I honestly believe they were working hard and trying their best. There is an issue with the way this store is managed... My son and I came in around 3:30pm. There were maybe 4 other tables sat in the restaurant and no one waiting in front of us. We were not greeted or even acknowledged for 5 whole minutes plus every table in this place was dirty. There were only two servers and one person behind the counter. But let me tell you those servers were busting their butts, did not stop moving for one second. They were finally able to clear a table and seat us. Our orders were taken promptly and we got our milkshakes in an acceptable amount of time. We are enjoying our milkshakes and having a good time when all of a sudden a manager begins to berate the one of the servers very loudly in the diningroom! I was mortified. Everyone stoped what they were doing and just watched this woman yell at her subordinate. If I hadn't felt so bad for the servers I would have just left. It really ruined the whole experience for us. After awhile we got our food. It took longer than average but everything tasted very good. I left that day thinking this has got to be a fluke, everyone has bad days. Read moreBad experience 😠😠 Early morning around 1 am, I was just finishing my shift and needed to eat something really fast to go home and sleep. I went to S 'n S thinking that I will get what I need but I just got really a hard time with the girl in the register. I went directly to the register to order cause I was tired and that was no way for me to wait any second, I asked for the menu and I order saying that I will just go get my phone from my car and I will be setting over there meaning that I'm not taking to go order. Fisrt she said ''say it again'' in this is rude when talking to guest and!!!! they made for me a to go order 😑😑😑 I went to the register to pay and I said thank for the service (meaning that I'm not happy about this) and she just start talking loud and shouting saying that was my mistake and I should just stay and wait before ordring, I said no, I mention that I will be setting over there, she said I don't care and she walked away... Actually this is my first time complaining, but this the worst situation I got ever (a cashier who is saying to a guest I don't care and just walking away !!!)
