First, Josh, our server, was amazing right off the bat!!! From the very beginning introduction, we felt like this is the type of guy we'd love to sit at the bar with one day. (Perhaps its a Josh thing, since we also had a Josh in our party. Two well-poised studs. Maybe in another dimension, Zeta Josh and Hungry Josh are besties. Or they'd at least make good business partners at the Law Offices of Josh & Josh). If everything else had been under par, we still would've left happy simply bc of Zeta Josh's warmth and class. In fact, there was a minor hiccup with our food, and honestly it didn't even bother us one bit, but Zeta Josh still went above and beyond to gracefully acknowledge the error and take care of us (not that we'd even have held it against you, Z-J! :-) ) Now, onto the rest...
The smaller menu doesn't offer much variety, especially on the sushi, but what it lacks in options it makes up for in taste. We started with the crudo for an appetizer and the flavor was everything we hoped it would be and more. As every crudo I've ever ordered, yes, it is a small plate (shouldn't all appetizers be, anyway?) and thus crudos tend to always be pricey considering volume , but that's standard and tbh the crudo dish at Zeta came with twice as many pieces as many restaurants I've been to, yay! So between the flavor, freshness, presentation, amount, and quality, we were very pleased all around. Seriously, get it. I also got the miso soup which was ideal if you like miso soup; they did not skimp out on the little tofu pieces and seaweed :-). For my entree I ordered the red chicken curry (pictured) which came with rice. It was a fair portion, not too big, not too small. The chicken is breast and it is grilled then sliced for the perfect ratio of meat to curry. The grilled flavor underneath the sauce made it an amazing combination, whoa! My partner got the tuna poke and I tried some; it deliciously carried a wonderful variety of flavors and texture and temperatures. I especially loved the enoki mushrooms in it. The bowl looked quite satisfying so it's absolutely worth your buck. And of course... The beloved Sapporo beer. Served perfectly cold and refreshingly crisp.
We will definitely come back on our next stay at the Signia or...
Read moreI was surprised to when I eat here. I’m not a sushi person so our waiter was very helpful. He suggested all of these plates you see below. Salad was full of flavor and a good portion. We then had our appetizer (that’s what I call it lol). It was a rib with cucumber and salad on what seemed to be some kind of flat bread. The flavor was sweet, but not to sweet. It made you want more and that’s good. Then we passed on to our main dish I had a plate that contained eggs, white jasmine rice, cooked mushrooms, cucumbers, fried pork, spinach and a type of salad that had a hit of spaciness. WOW!!! I would have never thought to have had a combination like that. My mouth was in a state of coma from all the different flavor it was experiencing. My husband had chicken with jasmine rice and cabbage. He tasted mine and wanted my plate lol... For desert we had a chocolate brownie with pecan topped with a scoop of vainilla ice cream. What a great meal. My server was on point with refills and making sure we liked our meal and that everything was good. All o needed now was a wheel barrel to carry me out. I was so satisfied and happy with my meal. I want to thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be coming back and letting all of our friends and family know about this place. The only down side was when we went to pick up sour car the tall white blond hair gentlemen would not leave till he was tipped. So I had no choice but to break a 20 to tip him. Then on top off that we would not give my money and asked how much money I wanted back. I was really annoyed about this. I know it’s not the restaurant fault this why I did not given them...
Read moreWow, Where do I begin? First off I want to acknowledge a few people. Miranda greeted us and was smiling and friendly. She sat us at a small two top in the back of the restaurant but was happy to move us to a bigger 4 top. We were very grateful
Our server was Jacob. He was very friendly and attentive. But the star of the show Mr. Rick Castner. I am a 20 year former service industry employee. I am a level 1 sommelier so when Rick was given the opportunity to WOW us, he went above and beyond! His knowledge and experience in Sake was 10/10. He made several recommendations and gave us a sake flight.
He recommended all of the food items we ordered and were absolutely blown away. We had the Nori Kurakka (Tuna Nachos) and both Boa Buns to start. We were blown away. The quality was top notch. Rick then recommend the Red Chicken Curry, Dragon Roll and the Kanji Roll. This was some of the best food I've eaten at ANY Asian restaurant. We are frequent diners at Nobu and Komodo in Miami Florida.
At the conclusion of the evening Rick told us that we had to absolutely try the best dessert they offered at their sister restaurant La Luce. Rick went to La Luce and brought us back a Bostini Trifel, and just WOW. Absolute AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
I opened Papi Steak in South Beach and I truly understand service. Bravo to...
