This review is for Mike Smith's (manager) behavior on Sunday May 17. I think this is a cool place, we were actually having a great time until this happened: I was there with my husband and my two year old kid. My boy was having a blast jumping in puddles and when we just got there one guy who works there even offered him an ice stick and he was super nice. Then we saw some chalk in the floor and we thought it would be fun for him to play with it and draw in the wall since we saw other walls with chalk as well, it seemed like adults and kids alike chalked the walls because there were doodles as well as happy birthday messages. Then the manager Mike Smith visibly upset came to us and said "I am sorry but he can't do that, please tell him to stop" We immediately apologized and told him that we were going to clean his mess. 10 seconds after, he said, in a really mean way "HE IS STILL DOING IT! PLEASE TELL HIM TO STOP!" then my husband told him, "Hey, take it easy, he is only 2, he doesn't understand and we haven't told him anything yet" and he said, now yelling at us "TELL HIM TO STOP! AS OF RIGHT NOW!" He even said something worse when we were leaving. I don't know if he he had a bad day or if that's just the way he is. But he didn't had to be so rude to me and my family. I wish I could had talked to him but couldn't since I was about to...
Read moreLove this place. A couple of years ago, a friend of mine asked me to come out and visit. I have been at least a semi-regular ever since. Friendly staff, good selection. It's a bit of a hipster scene, but it's not bad. As my buddy put it to me when he invited me out, it feels like you're hanging out on someone's back porch. Pet friendly, and kid-friendly, which is absolutely amazing. My oldest boy, who is about 2 years old, has a great time running around there and playing with the provided toys and stuff. They have local food trucks most days oh, and there are a couple of places within a couple of blocks that will deliver for free. They also let you bring in your own food, or food from another restaurant. Lots of events, ballgame specials, trivia nights, Etc. All in all, really great Hangout, to get a beer and bring the...
Read moreGot a dog? Bring em! Got kids? Nobody is going to tell you not to bring them, but act like an adult and either keep them occupied or find them something else to do. This is a beer garden after all and is usually packed with fun-loving adults drinking beer and enjoying each others' company. This place is a great location for large groups or to just hang out and play corn hole. There's usually a food truck or two around during dinner hours and for lunch on the weekends. They have ample seating, an always changing eclectic inventory, and fun games scattered about. The parking is hit or miss. You can park at the bank when they are closed, but beware of parking at the liquor store next door. They are SERIOUS about towing people and I have seen many a good night ruined because someone didn't...
