Buddy’s bar-b-q — Restaurant in Knoxville

So I'm new to the area and everyone said Buddy's BBQ was the best around so I decided to go there for dinner one night and boy was that a huge mistake! I ordered a kids meal for myself, a pulled pork sandwich w/bbq and it not only smelled like fish but it tasted like freaking tuna fish too!!! Now my husband got the same thing in the adult size and I swear to you it was 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT KINDS OF MEATS!!!! I should've known better when first all I ordered ahead and it took them 27 minutes to get my order together when I arrived exactly at 7 when my order was to be ready. Then they kept asking me my name when it goes by order number not name. And then to top it off, everyone in the restaurant was just idk off. They kept staring like I was in the wrong spot. No I went straight to the pick up spot sorry sis I'm not waiting in the regular line for something I already ordered and paid for! Anyway. Just a total horrible experience. When I asked what was good and the cashier said the fries, I knew I was in trouble.

House: 3. Clean, organized, and maintained eating and condiment areas. I did not observe the restrooms.

Service: 4. The cashier was very polite and helpful with my questions. I asked for food recommendations as a first-time customer, and she did not steer me wrong with the fries... and she was correct, they were the best part of the meal.

Food: 1. It wasn't very good. I got a meat trio- ribs, brisket, chicken, fries, and hush puppies. All the meat was dry. The flavor of the sauce was basically bland ketchup with added vinegar. The fries were fresh and crisp though.

Price: 3. This was a good price for a 3 meat, but the quality keeps this from being a real value. In this case, it seems you get what you pay for.

I would not likely go again or...

The Mr. Pibb got y'all 2 stars bc it was refreshing to wash down that crunchy dry so called smoked wings with the dry rub and I tried to drown it in sauce after the fact and the liquid smoke taste was overwhelming. If you call it smoked please tell me how it was fried hard?? And liquid smoke taste is so strong I couldn't eat it. The fries were fresh and saltless which is fine but miss me with how y'all all got so many good reviews? compared to what other BBQ place? Bc chicken is the EASIEST thing to cook and even if it was fried and it was good I wouldn't complain but it was nasty and dry. Also I went to the #3location don't know if this is the right one none the less the cashier bragged about how y'all have multiple locations so all for one one for all....
