We were very excited to try the grill as we have heard great things about it. The staff was great and the wait time was acceptable. Yes, they were out of certain items, but with everything going on that is understandable. We ordered just a basic double cheese burger, and a basic double bacon burger. When they brought us our items, we sent them back because there was four patties on each burger, the manager (I assume) came and explained that the double burgers consisted of four patties instead of two. Which we didn’t know, but that was fine. We accepted the burgers. We picked up the burgers and they fell to pieces, was not able to eat. I took two bites out of mine, and my husband took one before they completely fell apart. My kids ate there chicken tenders with no complaint the side orders were great as well. When the waitress came around and asked how everything was, we explained we couldn’t eat the burgers, and told her the situation. She apologized , but there was no correcting the issue. We paid $75 (tip included, because like I said the staff was great) for two burgers , two kids meals, and an appetizer. We understood we ordered it, we have to pay for it, but what was extremely disappointing was that I had to work 8 hours just to pay for a Meal that we couldn’t even eat, and they took no action to correct the issue.

Edited : hello Justin, I was not able to reply to your response, so I thought I would edit this post in hope you would be able to see it. I appreciate your reply in this situation. However, I do not appreciate you implying I did not understand what I was ordering. I simply ordered a double burger. That’s exactly what I said, i had no problem when the burger itself came out and you explained that I misunderstood. But no, you did not offer to correct it. And no, your waitress did not offer to get the manager. I’ve looked at all your reviews, and any negative reviews you have received, you have put the blame on the customer while trying to justify you or your staffs actions. While I do not believe in the saying, “the customer is always right.” I do believe in owning up to your mistakes. Which you have yet to do. I would have let this go, because it was a simple mistake that you all did not try to correct , But your response was immature and not necessary. I do not have any hard feelings, but hope you will be able to handle criticism better in the future. While the customer is not always right, sometimes they are. I wish you all great business, and you and your staff a...

Have you ever had a burger so juicy that it dripped down your chin with every bite? Well, try to imagine the opposite of that. With each bite of this burger, I wasn't sure if I was going to have enough moisture left in my mouth to swallow. If the burger had been any drier, they'd have to slap a "do not eat" label on it from a jerky package. The patty was so dark brown, it looked like it had spent a few too many hours in a tanning bed. How someone who makes burgers for a living could serve this with a straight face is beyond me. If I were hosting a BBQ, I wouldn't have served this burger to that one neighbor you invite out of obligation. Even he deserves better. The worst part? I used to eat at Inskip Burger somewhat regularly without issue. But this time, with two friends in tow, I suggested it. Guess who lost their food place-picking privileges for a while?

Now, let's talk about the Mint Monster shake. It supposedly contains two ingredients: mint and chocolate chip brownie. When my shake arrived, I noticed it didn't have any brownie on it, but I figured it was blended inside. Took a sip—no brownie, just the faintest hint of mint. Think if LaCroix made a mint milk and dyed it green. That's a pretty close description. I was asked if I wanted to wait for my friends to get their burgers before my shake was served, and I said no, I didn't want to wait. My shake arrived after they'd received their burgers, and it was completely melted. Oh, and about that brownie. When I pointed out its absence to the waitress, she said it didn't come with brownie. I showed her the menu, and she brought me a cold brownie on the side. Thanks, I guess?

I'm sad. I used to like Inskip Burger, but after this experience, I doubt I can convince my friends to return. And after writing this review, I imagine I probably won't be welcome back anyway. But this performance was shameful, and if I were them, I would want to know.

PS. I do want to mention that we also got fries and they were excellent, and we ordered the fried pickles and they were really tasty with the house made ranch which is fantastic. So credit where...

Having eaten at the Powell location many many times, I was in fountain city so tried the original location. While the taste and quality of the food was great as the Powell location, this is where the comparisons stop. It was a Sunday afternoon so I expected it to be busy, however, the tables were only half full with a 30 minute wait. After being sat, our server (who was new) was prompt and polite. It was obvious she wasn't comfortable with the software used for taking orders and she didn't know the menu at all. It's not her fault, management should have had her better prepared. It took 6 of us close to 10 minutes to get the order in. We then waited over an hour for our food. Three of the 6 orders were slightly wrong. Jalapeños on one order of taco fries when told none. 9 wings in an order instead of 10, no chili on hot dog, and no jalapeños on chili cheese fries. They made it right even though the remakes of fries and wing took another 20 to 25 minutes. We added another order of wings about 10 minutes into the meal and we got them about 30 to 40 minutes later. I'm sure this wasn't the norm, and that being new and put on the floor too soon was a huge part of the problem. I'd definitely eat here again, however, I'd go to the Powell location if it's an option. I've eaten there probably 20 times with zero issues. It seems to be ran much better. They are only open 4 days a week though where fountain city location is seven days. If I only went by my experiences, I'd assume the Powell was the original location and Fountain City was the new location still working kinks out.

Waited 45 for the food. Served me a burger that seems like it came out of a box. It was so over cooked and dry that I couldn’t finish it. I asked for a refund because I wasn’t waiting 45 minutes for it to be remade. She only offered to refund half. First and last time visiting this place. Which sucks because I heard good things about it. I gave Inskip Grill a second chance. The owner reached out to me in an effort to make it right. When we went back service was still pretty slow. It may have been busier than normal for a Tuesday night. Or, they may have been short staffed. The food was better. This time I didn’t have a burger. I had chicken. It didn’t look like a traditional chicken breast but it wasn’t bad enough to complain about. My mother had a burger. It looked much better than the one I posted with the original review. I was disappointed with the $3.50 up charge for sweet potato fries. The pricing on the menu is clearly marked for everything except the premium sides. While it does say it’s an upcharge if you take the time to read the small print, it doesn’t tell you how much. At the end, when I asked about the charge, the waitress was like oh well it says it on the menu. I want to say thank you to the owner for trying to make it right! Not many people do that in business any more. Unfortunately, this place ultimately isn’t my type of place. That’s ok. The owner seems to be a stand up guy that really cares about his customers.

The staff was very friendly and the place had a very hip vibe to it. The staff was very friendly and prompt. I have a feeling good times are always had at this establishment. I ordered the Middlebrook burger. So far this was the best burger & fries I've had in Knoxville. The fries were at the perfect temperature, the fry was spot on, not too soggy and not too dry, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The burger was topped with a delicious pretzel bun. The patty itself was very beefy with a couple of mozzarella sticks on top (which like the fries were fried perfectly). The lettuce and tomato was as fresh as fresh can be. This was all covered with a jalapeno ranch dressing that was very creamy with just the right kick. If I was to complain about one thing it would be the price of the fountain drink. I don't mind paying more for higher quality ingredients. But paying $3.25 for a fountain drink is getting a bit out of control. This an industry issue not the grill itself. I definitely have to go back because there's so many things on the menu I wish to try. Including the gorilla balls, which was some sort of tater tot but I knew I could not eat an appetizer and my burger & fries alone. I'm going to need some friends! Lol
