I just moved here last month my son and his family took me around this beautiful town on Saturday the 9th and while driving we decided to have brunch. He talked about him and his fiance eating at Chivos when the went to town and it had been a while since eating there but always the food was wonderful but a little pricey well worth it so we parked and put 2 hrs on the meter. Upon entering we were sat in the very back because I am disabled and have a walker (we didn't mind that) the waiter came and asked what we would like to drink we ordered easy coffee and on that took over 15 min to get. When he came he asked if we wanted apitizers we ordered the guacamole that took an aditional 20 minutes to come we asked for avocado for the guac as it had way to much lime juice in it well 10 min more he came with a sliced avocado. The waiter then told us the guac is not fresh it comes prepackaged. We felt we better not let him leave again we ordered. My son ordered my grand daughter the biscuit and gravy with chicken and egg on top that was great. We both ordered the brisket burro that took 25 to 30 min to come we were shocked to find to burros had the jalapenos just dumped in the burros we could not eat them my son had to ut more money the meter was going to run out before we got the check.i showed our waiter we could not eat our meals he just said sorry and walked away. We had to gpgto the register to get the check I was shocked over 56 dollars and we could not eat most of our food. I wanted to talk to someone but was ignored when asked. My son was embarrased because he had such high regards for the restaurant. I charged the meal but did not even get a copy of...
Read moreI simply wasn’t satisfied all around with our experience in the restaurant. When the restaurant is over 80 degrees, your food is burnt, you ask for drink refills multiple times, and a tab that is 140$ is ridiculous! When I spoke with Jennifer she stated something needed to be said when we were there. Something was said at least four times about the air and different things were said why it was so hot. Nothing was ever stated that the air was out. When we were walking out of the restaurant I noticed one of the cooks back in the kitchen drinking a beer cooking the food up. I was very displeased with this experience when anytime we were there before it was a great experience. There were 4 of us in the group and the tab was 140$..... I am not asking for a refund of the money but it’d would be nice to have at least part of our meal made up. A couple entree’s , couple appetizers, a couple tacos isn’t making or breaking you all what so ever. And Jennifer stated nothing was said to her last night so she could only make up an appetizer. Well when it was stated about the temperature at least 4 times our server should’ve had the manager come tell us something was wrong with the air. We waited 1 hour 45 minutes to eat once we had sat down we didn’t want to wait on fresh food or wait to be moved to another seat in the restaurant. We wanted to eat dinner and carry on with the night. We didn’t want to be in your restaurant for 4 hours. We were there simply for dinner. I really enjoy the restaurant, but if nothing better can be done for us then an appetizer made up, we won’t be wasting anymore time or money on...
Read moreA-Ok in my book. Came for lunch on a Friday and was able to find some paid street parking near by. Service was great as the place was not super busy. I went with the house margarita, The Chivo, and it tasted exactly like Chili's el presidente, which I love. For food, we started with the wings and expected more from all the rave reviews. They came out lava hot and grilled to perfection but I would prefer if the wings were coated in the sauce instead of it just being drizzled on. They were good but not amazing. We also tried the mexican street corn off the cob but again I wasn't super impressed. It was lukewarm at best and tasted like creamed corn to me. As for tacos, we tried the Gangnam Style, Clusterduck, Limp Brisket, and the Big Shrimpin. Limp Brisket was our favorite followed by the Gangnam Style. The Clusterduck had some creamy goat cheese on it but the result was just ok. The Shrimp in the Big Shrimpin was plentiful and cooked flawlessly but no surprised with the combo of hot sauce and blue cheese. If there are just two of you I would recommend separating the stacked tortillas and dividing the filling between them so each of you get a taco. I did find it odd that other than the wings, all of our items were served lukewarm. I am glad we tried this place out but hoped for more after reading all the great reviews. With menu items being average, I do not think we...
