We’ve been Chuy’s biggest fans for many years. Eating at the Orlando location most every week for years. Then, we moved to Knoxville while knowing there is a Chuy’s here. Sadly, it’s the worst Chuy’s we’ve been to. We’ve given it FOUR try’s. Every single time the service is absolutely terrible. I’m sitting in a booth currently, waiting for service, and it’s been 20 mins. No kidding. The servers are trying and we always take care of them no matter what. However, staffing appears to be a major issue at this location in particular. The food at this location is also subpar. Lack of sauce, cold food, stale taco shells, and other minor discrepancies. Sorry Chuy’s, you’ve managed to lose us somehow - no matter how good your creamy jalapeño is. Update: Gosh darn it we keep coming back and it’s just as bad every single time. I was so excited to see the macho burrito come back from pre-covid but it’s so sad and tiny now. Also, supposed to come with green chile rice. Service is so incredibly hit or miss. Employees arguing with each other, hostess rude, and very understaffed. We always take care of the server but I’m done. This location will close within a year, guaranteed.

We went to Chuy's after work. This is our second visit. The last time the wait was too long so we left. We were seated immediately. The decor was great. Chips and dip were brought to our table. Nelson was our server. I ordered the Elvis combo. I was so hungry and it sounded good. Food looked delicious. I could not cut the tortillas with my fork without a struggle. I used a knife. That combo was so disappointing. I ate a little of everything. I did eat my taco which was good. My husband did not get a drink refill. The place started getting busy and our server checked on us several times. The manager brought me a Togo box but failed to bring me a bag or containers for the chips and salsa. I finally got our server to get my husband a drink to go and the other stuff I wanted. Nelson brought us a fresh bag of chips to take with us. So, I don't ever want to go back. If I do I will just get a simple taco. My husband ate all his food which was the same as mine. I guess everybody is different. I love the casual wear of the servers. Everybody was so nice but honestly, my food sucked. :-(

Was invited to go to lunch at this place...and in my quest for a good chile relleno in Tennessee im open to trying new places. I found chuys to be quite interesting actually offering a chile..I chose the kings combo which consists of three enchiladas beef, chicken and cheese a tostada and a taco ...I added a chile ala cart . What was interesting is all three enchiladas came with a different sauce...one of their trademarks i guess, i believe each sauce is made in house and all were quite tasty. The chile was interesting a little odd looking by chile standards but was somewhat tasty although the chile injected with queso cheese whiz got the job done but real cheese would of made it great but for Tennessee in the top 5 so far Some other offerings were the chicken fajitas they looked delicious and fresh all the food was served on piping hot plates and hot as desired....all in all i found it a nice dining experience and would actually go there again... big shout out to Nicole our server she was fast and efficient and very pleasent

I normally LOVE going to chuys. It's one of my favorite places to eat in Knoxville. Tonight was the worst experience I've ever had here. First, the hostess asked how many and we said 3, me, my husband, and my little girl. She asked if a booth was ok, which is normally a great idea because our little girl is too big for high chairs but too little to stay seated in a chair for a whole meal. We got seated in a two person booth, so there wasn't really any room for our kid to sit with one of us, so we tried a high chair but that ended up not working. We squeezed together and made the best of it. Then after 10 minutes of sitting there my child was hungry and there was no "hello" or any chips or drinks so I looked around trying to decide which waitress or waiter was ours. When she finally came up we ordered our drinks and she tried sprinting away, and my husband politely asks if we could get chips and the jalapeño dip. She basically rolls her eyes and says "yeah I was going to get that I just haven't a chance". We waited another 10 mins and finally got drinks and chips. Then we ordered our food. The food came out sooner than the drinks and chips did, but we ran out of chips while waiting and drinks. They bring out the food and I glance at my plate and there's this green chile rice....my face is clearly disgusted but the man who brought the food just quickly walks away without asking if everything looked alright or if we needed anything like sauce. Then the waitress comes by and asks how everything is and I ask for a refill on drinks and chips, then ask why we got this green rice..she answers that she just heard someone say that they ran out of Mexican rice. Well wouldn't that be nice to know, I normally mainly eat the rice and chips. If they had told us and gave us a choice of what to do I wouldn't have ordered what I did because I tried something new and hated it and had nothing to eat except chips (which at this point we are still out of). Then she bring a refill and more chips and she says "these are the last chips by the way". Now, this was about 30 mins til close. I understand everyone wants to go home, I do too after barely eating here tonight. It's not like we showed up 10 minutes til close and expected 3 full meals and to stay for hours and hours. We arrived over an hour before close and were hardly taken care of, the food ran out by the time we got any service, and no one alerted us about it. Then, no one offered to comp the meal or anything. She did offer more beans, but I don't like their beans. When she took my plate (after I already told her I won't be eating anything on my plate) she said "are you going to continue poking around on your plate?" No mam. I will not. We still left about 20 til close, so maybe staff need to slow down and actually take care of their customers before closing the store before it's even time to close. It's actually crazy how much waiting we had to do when they are quickly trying to close the store with people still inside. Sadly it was a waste of time and waste of money since I literally only ate chips. At least my...

We were tired and hungry after a long day of sightseeing. This was our last night in TN. While searching the available options that were open late enough to get something good (we weren't in the mood for fast food), my husband found this place. . We arrived just after 9p and were promptly seated. The manager/hostess was super sweet, she was obviously tired after a long day but that didn't hamper her friendliness. . Upon being seated in a booth, Brooke promptly greeted us and said she'd be right with us. When she returned she promptly took our drink orders and came back quickly with our drinks and then she grabbed the chips/salsa and this incredible ranch type dip that could only be described as divine. . We had so many questions about the menu and she was so gracious in answering all of them without any attitude (more places need people like her). My husband was showing her pictures of the food on their Google review page and he (with her help) ended up with the steak burrito. I ended up choosing the chicken flautas. . He effortlessly devoured his and I ate as much of mine as I could. The food was exceptional, I just have had some issues with my appetite. I wanted to take the leftovers of mine (he did everything but lick the plate) but since this was our last night and no way to fly and keep it cool... I had to say goodbye to the goodness that remained. . We initially thought this was a local establishment. Brooke informed us that there were many locations. As we live in the central Midwest (Nebraska) my husband found that there's one of these about 3h from where we live... the only downside is Brooke won't be there. . If you are looking for a restaurant full of flair and flavor... check this out. You won't be...

The atmosphere was good and that’s about it. It’s been open for a while so obviously some people like it but none of us did. No one at our table would eat the salsa so I ordered queso... when they brought that out it wasn’t what anyone expected. It didn’t taste horrible but it definitely wasn’t worth the $8 they charged me! The food looked good but I did not like the rice, my son wouldn’t eat his enchilada so all he ate was chips, my tacos weren’t bad but they weren’t good either. I wasn’t even going to leave this review until I got my bill. When they brought our tacos out they didn’t have sour cream on them. I asked our waitress for some and she brought it but I still didn’t eat the tacos. To me they weren’t worth the calories. After everyone finished eating (which didn’t take that long since no one even came close to finishing) and I looked at my check they charged $1.50 for a scoop of sour cream! If she had told me that I wouldn’t have gotten it because I already wasn’t impressed with the food and the sour cream didn’t help. And to top it all off our waitress wasn’t very friendly. She wasn’t rude but she defiantly wasn’t acting nice. She was running around like she was overwhelmed and only had 3 tables including ours. She wasn’t bad but she wasn’t good ... basically like the whole experience. If I hadn’t paid over $60 for 2 adults and a kid I wouldn’t be that upset. But for the amount of money it cost and the fact we didn’t even eat our food I was very...
