2 stars only because the chocolates were delightful and scrumptious.. service was actually attentive and welcoming! I would truly love to love this place… however unfortunately my opinion changed quite quickly. On the sidewalk outside we WILLINGLY gave cash to a less fortunate woman… she had requested we buy her a coffee but instead we had mistakingly gave her the money to go in and buy her own coffee inside... Despite what some may think she truly went inside of the business, waited in line patiently just to come back out as she was refused service.. she told us she had explained to them that she had the money for it but they still denied her… she seemed embarrassed and ready to take business to another store close by so we did not return inside to buy it for her. Besides I wouldn’t want to give even more money to a place that was originally semi overpriced and wouldn’t serve this lady just because she is in a different circumstance than us. To be quite honest if I was the person in our group who had purchased our chocolates I think I would have asked for a refund in frustration and distress… it’s just sad. I understand there are mixed opinions on people in these situations… but people don’t ALWAYS put themselves in their situation.. sometimes other people put them in their situation.. and sometimes they are in fact fighting to move up and pull themselves where they need to be… and especially in this day and age it’s difficult for many. End of the day we’re all just people.. living on this earth.. the same earth.. just trying to get by… see another day… do what we can to survive and just be happy or at least to the best of our ability and the hand we were dealt. I believe that the main reason she was not served had possibly been because they don’t want to lose business being seen with homeless people inside ?? But it would have taken her 3 minutes to get her coffee and leave… she’s only human too yk.. and was WILLING to give your business HER money… OUR money. That we earned and we give to who we please. Also Knoxville (this particular area especially) is filled with the homeless so if you cannot handle them maybe consider opening a business elsewhere. She’s a person just like me… maybe you could have made her day and that’s just how I see it. You fear losing business from having less fortunate people seen inside of your establishment, however I’m afraid youve forever lost mine (and maybe many others who see this and care) Bless all...

Read moreSuper disappointed, I live in knoxville so we frequent downtown cafes and restaurants often. My friend and I happened to stop by Starbucks and didn’t realize they had closed early for the day around 5:20pm on January 29th no big deal we took a little walk to chocolate and coffee and we were not greeted, in fact there was another couple in front of us and the girl working said “I’m taking a break”. She didn’t tell us that I just happened to over hear her. So we waited for about 10 minutes in line when the couple in front of us decided they weren’t waiting so they left we stepped up to the register and were left reading a note that said be back at 5:45 well it was only 5:30 when we read the note but the girl working just stared at us and ignored that we were waiting. I just think customer service has been very poor lately at this establishment. We decided to go get coffee else where when a group of 6 walked in and they were also just stared at and we all ended up leaving because it was very uncomfortable and not very welcoming.. disappointed with this establishment as it’s never been like that before. We have always enjoyed our local businesses and will continue to support them but maybe get a more friendly staff or have 2 on the floor so you aren’t losing 10 customers in a 20 minute window.. either way we went to K brew and it...
