I just got an Italian sub here. There was a 10 minute drive to get home. I opened it up and is so soggy not good at all. First time I’ve ever been there. I can’t believe I spent as much as I did on a sandwich and it’s inedible. Update on this review just got off the phone with them letting them know how soggy my sandwich was. I asked them do you steam the sandwiches with the condiments on? They said yes. I can’t imagine how they don’t all turn out soggy. I then asked if I could get a refund. She said no because there’s nothing wrong with the sandwich. I could’ve dealt with them saying no or will give you a discount next time or whatever but to tell me there’s nothing wrong with the sandwich. It’s so unbelievably soggy. If you go there, I will get your condiments put on after or tell them not to steam it at all. I see some reviews here acting like the steaming is what makes it amazing I don’t get it. I don’t know if I’m missing something here or what but I wouldn’t think most people would want soggy bread. Even the lettuce was soggy. I scraped off the toppings and I have a small bun that I’m gonna put some of the toppings on just to have some dinner

CALLING ALL SOGGY SANDWICH LOVERS!!!! As a local Knoxvillian, We don't go to Nixon Deli very much. Seams every time the wife is pregnant, yes this visit we are. She wants a soggy sandwich. Which Nixion Deli is the best place to get one. Small Town feel. No big fancy displays or big screens. Way better tasting than any commercial Subway. 5 Stars Great Friendly staff. Serve cold on request. Will become back often. Even after pregnancy. Several sub sizes available not just 12" or 6".

Saw this place a few times and decided to stop in for lunch. I did a club sandwich. Be mindful that they steam all of their sandwiches. This for me was a great addition. It did make it a mess but well worth it. My wife did not hers steamed. It was good also because they get good bread. Prices were reasonable. The sides were ok but they do have bags of chips. They have platters for catering. I will be using them for my business meetings.

Thankfully Panera Bread across the street didn't have their act together or I would have never found out about Nixon's. I really love this place because of its no non-sense yet friendly service, quality food choices (especially their reuben sandwich), as well as the deli's calm and peaceful atmosphere. Unlike many other establishments which feel the need to play music or have a tv running in the background, at Nixon's you can enjoy your meal in peace by yourself or with friends and family w/out a cacophony of noise. The real success behind Nixon's though is its consistency in delivering quality products. I went back the following day and my sandwich was just as good as the day before. I highly recommend visiting this little slice of heaven in West Knoxville. Kudos to the staff...

I had not been here in a while and won't go back any time soon. Ordered Reuben sandwiches and when I got back to work and passed them out, we all were shocked to see that there was NOT even one layer of meat over the sandwich! We had to scoot the meat from one side to the other to even make a single layer on 1/2 of the sandwich. If they were running low, I wish they would have said something and I would have ordered something else. Very sad because I used to love their sandwiches, but I can't afford to pay $10 for a...
