I just got an Italian sub here. There was a 10 minute drive to get home. I opened it up and is so soggy not good at all. First time I’ve ever been there. I can’t believe I spent as much as I did on a sandwich and it’s inedible. Update on this review just got off the phone with them letting them know how soggy my sandwich was. I asked them do you steam the sandwiches with the condiments on? They said yes. I can’t imagine how they don’t all turn out soggy. I then asked if I could get a refund. She said no because there’s nothing wrong with the sandwich. I could’ve dealt with them saying no or will give you a discount next time or whatever but to tell me there’s nothing wrong with the sandwich. It’s so unbelievably soggy. If you go there, I will get your condiments put on after or tell them not to steam it at all. I see some reviews here acting like the steaming is what makes it amazing I don’t get it. I don’t know if I’m missing something here or what but I wouldn’t think most people would want soggy bread. Even the lettuce was soggy. I scraped off the toppings and I have a small bun that I’m gonna put some of the toppings on just to...

I really love this place because of its no non-sense yet friendly service, quality food choices (especially their reuben sandwich), as well as the deli's calm and peaceful atmosphere. Unlike many other establishments which feel the need to play music or have a tv running in the background, at Nixon's you can enjoy your meal in peace by yourself or with friends and family w/out a cacophony of noise. The real success behind Nixon's though is its consistency in delivering quality products. I went back the following day and my sandwich was just as good as the day before. I highly recommend visiting this little slice of heaven in West Knoxville. Kudos to the staff...
Read moreI had not been here in a while and won't go back any time soon. Ordered Reuben sandwiches and when I got back to work and passed them out, we all were shocked to see that there was NOT even one layer of meat over the sandwich! We had to scoot the meat from one side to the other to even make a single layer on 1/2 of the sandwich. If they were running low, I wish they would have said something and I would have ordered something else. Very sad because I used to love their sandwiches, but I can't afford to pay $10 for a...
