I was in from out of town. I googled best steak in Knoxville. Lonesome Dove populated as #1 result. I arrived at 9:20pm to get the tomahawk ribeye they had as their specialty. In Google maps they have the restaurant closing at 10pm.... I walked in and all 3 bar tenders stated....we closed the kitchen at 9:15pm. Sorry. I stated, oh ok, I thought it said you close at 10pm (45 min from now). Yea, we'll serve you a drink but our kitchen is closed. I visited every possible restaurant that served a good cut of steak in the vicinity from 9:20 to 10pm....all stated...sorry, kitchen is closed.... long before there advertised time. However, I finally walked in Skybox sports bar at 10:04.... knowing that they probably didn't have that nice cut of steak I was craving....and STACY the bar tender welcomed me, said come on in, have a seat, would you like something to eat? I'm sitting here eating their lamb chops and Stacy is gonna get a tip bigger than what she probably made all night. Long story short, if you're in from out of town and looking for some good food and a staff that appreciates your business (passed 9pm)...just head straight to SkyBox sports bar.

Went on Friday night just before Halloween weekend to enjoy some karaoke singing and check out the venue. They are planning a Contest starting next week.$500.00 prize and a talented singer doing the judging so it won't be based upon popularity or how many friends you bring to vote for you. Looking forward to seeing who wins. The prices are typical of Downtown establishment prices $$$.... Mixed age crowd and music taste ... Something for everyone...

With most places around the area closing at 10pm, I was at first excited to find one that closes later at 12am. Turn out to be a complete waste of time. Service is non-existent. And no, they don't want to serve food. They make sure you don't order any to begin with. I'm not quite sure how this place is still in business..

Inconsistent Drinks, Great Environment to Sing

Firstly, it is NOT American. It is definitely Mediterranean. I'm not a fan of Mediterranean so I cannot comment on the food. I didn't eat. But the other persons in my party both had the Philly cheesesteak- the only American thing I remember on the small QR code menu.

The environment was very welcoming. Walking the strip, we were beckoned by the other patrons singing their picks. Entering, there were a sprinkling of a few others which I'm not upset about. It was a weekday. Karaoke.

The DJ did a great job enticing my party to sing LOL. It was very enjoyable and I think he definitely made the environment and earned all of these stars because the rest of the night was meh for me, personally. I would actually believe my party would rate this place a 4 stars, because they were absolutely enjoying the Philly cheese steak.

My drinks however were weak. I watched the bartender use the jigger and she seemed quite timid- maybe new. But the jigger wasn't being filled up, that I know for sure. I had Rum and Coke and all I tasted was coke. After ordering another and experiencing the same thing, I just stopped drinking and closed my tab.

Despite the drinks, I may come again only because of the karaoke because that was genuinely fun.. and make sure I eat...

First time visiting, will also be the last.

6pm on a saturday, place is half empty, the 2 of us took our seat and it took the server several minutes to even wipe our table off and take our drink order. Told him we would also be ordering food, waited 5 minutes. Waited 10 minutes. Waited 15 minutes. There is now 3 tables in the entire place and maybe 8 people at the bar. I have to go to the bar and ask one of the bartenders to cash us out because we're tired of waiting. Turns out, it was the manager I'm asking, and not a single word is said by her, let alone an apology. We get a half hearted sorry and a rediculous excuse right before we leave.

To say it was a disappointment is an understatement, they have some serious work to do on their customer service and we certainly wont be going back anytime soon, especially considering the amount of other options...
