TL;DR - Hailey is amazing, food is wonderful (a bit $$$), if you can, go when there are belly dancers!

I’m basically the number one fan of Mirage’s server/bar manager Hailey. She’s hilarious, knowledgeable, witty, and took great care of us. She is professional and has a personality which is impressive. We should grab margs at la fiesta sometime, Hailey 😉

The food was incredible! I think my favorite was the pita, the seasoned grilled chicken, and the rice. But honestly everything was delicious. Also enjoyed the lamb, hummus, tzatziki, and babaganoush. Ooh and the truffle fries! Just try it all, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a pricey place, so plan to spend a bit, but rest assured that it will be totally worth it.

We were lucky enough to see Fadi El Saadi (musician) and Safiya Nawaar (dancer) perform! He is a very talented keyboard/synth player and vocalist, and her dancing is absolutely ASTONISHING. Toward the end of our evening, she & the other dancer (I didn’t get her name) encouraged all the ladies to join and started giving us belly dancing lessons! It was an absolute blast!

10/10 -...

BEWARE.....We went there to celebrate two of our daughter's birthdays. Unfortunately, the experience was Not as we expected. Overlooking the sandwiches being extremely salty and my bill having several drinks too many on it here is the biggest issue. We paid separately in 5 different bills. We were shown the bill on a tablet which was difficult to read in the lighting and it having small print. I asked for a copy of my bill and finally received upon STRONGLY INSISTING! We were not told an automatic gratuity was added so each of us added a 20 to 25% gratuity which I thought was very generous all things considered. When I did get the bill, I discovered the extra drinks and the automatic tip plus what I had intended for the tip and thus far have not been able to discuss this with anyone!! Long story short, they added $53.57 plus the $80.36 intended as the tip. LESSON LEARNED as should have figured something wrong when we did not originally get a...

Very comfortable environment with an inviting vibe. Terrific place to relax and have a drink, hookah, or bite to eat. I went for the food and was delighted by both food and environment. Wish they had iced tea, but will try the hot Arabic tea next time since not much a juice or carbonated beverage drinker. The Greek salad was average and on par with what I would expect with fresh ingredients and good presentation. The lamb tacos were fabulous. Great flavor from the lamb and good combination of flavor. A slightly high price point on the tacos but worth it. The cheese steak wrap was a good price point and had great flavor. The cheese steak came with a variety of frozen seasoned fries. So the fries were okay as they were cooked to my personal liking with a crisp texture. Overall a great experience and will return again, hopefully on a weekend when they have belly dancing so I can experience a more festive vibe than the relaxed...

Changing my 5 star review from a year ago. The service was abysmal this past Saturday. We drove two hours to go here like we always do for my birthday. The hookah was basically burnt as soon as they brought it out, tasted horrible and gave me a headache within 20 minutes. The guy they currently have making hookah has no clue what he’s doing. We watched him bring out fresh coals to the tables and he didn’t bother to clean any of the heads (so you don’t suck in a bunch of ashes) and I watched him cough onto a coal he was putting on someone’s hookah… gross. We asked him for tongs so we could adjust the coals (since he put too many on and didn’t bother to check them) and he totally forgot about us. We left within an hour. I want to say we will be back because the atmosphere is nice and the belly dancing is awesome when they have it, but PLEASE have more experienced people prepare your hookah.

My husband and i always go to a new hookah bar when we travel. From California to New York this was by far the best hookah bar experience we’ve ever had. It was my husband’s 27th birthday today and he even said this was one of his favorite birthdays so far because of the amazing experience. The food was authentic, fresh, and packed with flavor (also made in house), the hookah was well made, the atmosphere made me feel like i transported to Egypt, the drinks tasted great, and THE SERVICE the service was impeccable. I can’t remember our waiters name but he said he was trying to get into med school so hopefully he gets the credit he deserves. Next time we are in town this place is on our bucket list to revisit and this time we will go on a night there are belly dancers to really elevate the experience!

If you’re looking for some of the best, authentic, and BEAUTIFUL Mediterranean food you’ve ever tasted, look no further than Mirage here in downtown Knoxville. Right downstairs under Skybox, Mirage’s atmosphere is somewhere between a casual dining restaurant and bar and a journey to the middle east. Want to sit down and recline on a couch while you eat? You can - I did! The inspiration of persian influence is everywhere. They’ve got hookah too!! One of the best spots in downtown Knoxville!
