The Joe was not sloppy. This Joe was wearing khakis and a polo, but one of the pant legs got stuck on his white tube socks, just above his belt-matching pennyloafers. It is a strange feeling you are sloppier than the Joe you got from the kitchen.

In all seriousness, I was eager to try a different local place and I will say this - THEY ARE LOCAL! What a joy it was to find an East Tennessean owned resturaunt, worked with the local PD, all of the things that gets my native 865 heart a flutterin'. After researching the business a little bit, I was excited when it was recommended to try the special for Thursday, "the Sloppy Joe." My thoughts, "this guy worked with police officers, I am excited to be full and leave ready for bed." Much to my surprise, I was met with the least East Tennessean Sloppy Joe I have ever laid my eyes on. Now was it good, sure. What is nice, yes. On a Thursday evening, will I have a hankering that could only be fixed by this dainty Joe, no!

You may ask "why?" - BECAUSE PLATE ENVY. As I ate my Martha Stewart Joe, I saw what looked like the most beautiful and mounding serving dish of Chicken tenders, with two sides be carried out to the table next to me.

The ultimate question - will I return? YES, of course! Support local that is good, and while I haven't tasted the chicken yet, it looks really good!

Special Notes The service was great here, the space was clean/open, the slaw had onions - so just be aware, the chicken looks great, the Joe's have a degree in finance and maybe worked at chick-fil-a in it's seedy past life - not...

I had high hopes reading the reviews and viewing the photos online. The positives: Service was good and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was something that I could enjoy going to. They had a live band about to perform and I would have liked to stay to listen but I was in a hurry. The negatives: As I was walking in, I asked customers who were walking out about the food and they told me to go elsewhere as it was very expensive and the food was just ok. They recommended another restaurant. However, I was on a time crunch and not from the area so I decided to stick with ordering from here. I really wish I hadn't. The food was not "ok" it was really on the bad side. I threw most of it away. I had a philly cheesesteak and the meat had a horrible weird taste to it. I was unsure if the meat was bad or if they had just marinated it in something unpleasant. Either way, I was unable to eat it...it went in the trash. The fries would have been better if hot (this was a to-go order) however, they tasted similar to the frozen "extra crispy" fries that you can get at the grocery store...nothing special. The kicker was the price...this was not just a little expensive it was outrageous for one person for the food received. I paid almost $30 for a philly cheesesteak and fries - no drink, no extras, just that. Then, the philly went in the trash. I am not from here and do not plan to eat here again. I really enjoyed coming to this restaurant. The food is so good!!! We started off with the Hot honey cheese bites, which were absolutely amazing!! Wonderful crunchy outside lightly drizzled with Sriracha honey and smooth pimento cheese on the inside. I had the Fountain City Philly. It came with nice crispy fries, and a vinegar based cole slaw that I have to admit I was apprehensive about trying it, but it surpassed my expectations and it was very good!! The Philly was exactly what a Philly should be. Tender steak meat nicely seasoned, peppers and onions sauteed well. Wonderful melty provolone cheese makes the Philly come together in a mouth watering, can't put it down, sandwich. My husband had the Garlic Parmesan boneless wings. Those came with nice crispy french fries as well. The wings were very meaty and more than one bite each. 10 wings with plentiful sauce made made these lip smacking delicious!! The atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. The wait staff was laughing and having fun. Plenty of games on the TVs for your entertainment and the decorations of flags for our great USA, Military and Law Enforcement made it feel welcoming. We will...
