Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Knoxville

So I've been a patron of the location on Kingston Pike for a number of years now. I'm going to be up front and and say that after my experience today, our family can no longer ignore the annoyances. We will no longer be eating at this fast food location.

For a number of years now, service has gotten slower and slower. Moreover, the number of mistakes being made with our orders has increased to the point where there's a mistake probably ever 9 out of 10 visits. It took almost 20 minutes for our food to get to us when we went through the drive through today (06/23/2020). The microphone to speak to the attendant barely worked and we had to repeat our order a number of times. Then, when we got home, we realized the drink that came with my order wasn't right. Barq's red cream soda is supposed to be... RED. Instead, I had some sickly sweet carbonated sugar water that tasted nothing like any recognizable soda. If it had accidentally been sprite, or something else, like I said above - our family usually ignored these things. I dumped my drink down the drain and drank water. Following that disappointment, we opened our bag to find that my food order turned out alright. However, when we opened the container that was supposed to house my husbands 5 chicken fingers, there was an order of celery and sauces. No where did we ask for extra celery... That leads to the actual eating of the food. I ended up splitting my food with my husband, and sat down to eat. It was dead cold, soggy, and just mediocre. For the price, it was very disappointing compared to other times I've had that meal.

I hope this review helps someone whether you choose to go to the Denton's (which I'm going to try now) across the street, or head down KP a ways and go to the new chicken place that opened not a mile down the road (Myrtles?). Maybe, just maybe, the owner will see this and make some DRASTIC changes to how things are being done at...

I have eaten at this Zaxby’s for years as I have worked just a half mile away for the last 26 years. The last time I was in the restaurant it was dirty, drink station area was gross and the people behind the counter were fussing at each other. But today I thought I would try the drive through again for a grilled Cobb salad. Two times previously, it came out with fried chicken instead of grilled chicken and didn’t realize this till I got back to my office at the last couple of times I did get grilled chicken and the chicken is cut into such large pieces. There is no way a normal person could get it in their mouth. They only give you a fork no knife, so I’m not sure how they expect you to eat it. So today I’m making this review and I’m adding a photo as you can see the fork is beside a piece of chicken that is bigger than it is (cut the chicken into bite size!) along with the ends of a cucumber that should never be in a salad! In my opinion this is a management issue, train your people better and make corrections when needed. Quality control is everything in a restaurant! My husband and I went there today for the first time ever. We’ve never been so disappointed in a restaurant ever and we’ve been to almost every restaurant in Knoxville. Our food was awful. My husband ordered the traditional wings they were cold and inedible, overcooked. I had the fingers meal and my chicken was tough, the fries were cold. The food tasted funny like the fryer grease was old or something. We also ordered the fried white cheddar bites, they even tasted bad. The drinks where mainly carbonated no syrup. The dining room was dirty. We had to wipe our table and seats before we sat down. There was only 4 other people in there along with us. The floor had not been swept it needed to be mopped. When we got our food the tray they put our food on had some kind of sauce or something on it. The employees where talking to each other and on their phones instead of cleaning like they could have been. There was plenty they could have been doing. We didn’t even finish our food.
