Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Kokomo

Dined here after my daughter received her nursing pin from IUK. We had a lovely time and our server who was new was very friendly and helpful. We had my two granddaughters with us who are 5 months and 23 months and the staff at this Chili’s was very calm and supportive. The food was served promptly and hot and very flavorful. I myself on a dr prescribed no fat diet I wished chilis had a variety of fresh vegetarian low fat options especially with the new year upon us. I ordered the chili bowl I believe which had white rice in it I’m not allowed and brown rice should be an option but everything else in that bowl was what was ok for me to eat. It’s been a very difficult decision for me to go eat and only see salmon and believe me I’m sure the salmon is very delicious but the first week I was put on this diet I couldn’t possibly eat any more fish, yuck! I’m supposed to eat fish three times weekly with omega 3 supplements. The protein bowls at chilis is very delicious and the chipotle sauce on the chicken was on point, just delicious! This restaurant was community friendly as my daughters nursing program from IUK professors or nurses in the community approached our table and congratulated me having two adult children that have graduated their BSN program and told my daughter it was heard of to just have two babies and keep pushing on and receive her degree And praised both me and my mother and told us we should be very proud which we are extremely proud of both brother and sister accomplishing what they have. Updating this review! Still ticked!!! I came thinking I was invited for a meal to make up for what happened (which was offered to me. I didn’t ask for it ) I had NO problem never going back, but I thought they were going to take care of a MEAL like the email said and it was a $10 gift card 😂😂 Thanks for reminding me how I was treated the other day, I had no idea it was that small of a gift until I got here and ordered my food. At least the manager was kind enough to take care of it. Maybe we will be back—-I would give a zero if I could! I met my boyfriend of several years at the bar. I pull out my Tennessee ID that has a crack down the middle of it but it’s been cracked for at least a year that I know of because it’s old lol this woman told me that it was against the law for her to take it. I had to walk out to the car because I was pretty angry and when I did, I had to look it up to make sure she wasn’t just blowing smoke. Turns out she was just blowing smoke because my name and my birthday and everything was clearly visible! This woman judged me! She must not have liked the looks of me or something, but she should not be working in customer service! Horrible Chilis 😞 The restaurant was completely empty. I guess they don’t like business. I went right over to Texas Roadhouse, was treated with respect and had my drink. I have a 2 year old disabled child and all I was doing was meeting his father for lunch and a drink. I took my son and his family along with his mother out for his 21st birthday and I wasn’t impressed. His mother and her husbands boneless wings as they told me for appetizer weren’t hot. They said they seemed like they had been sitting there for awhile. I ordered the little sliders and after the food seemed to take longer than necessary to get to us I bit into the sandwich and it was nothing but bread and meat. Bread and meat mediocre in temperature. I sat there from nearly 10 minutes and it took my sons mothers husband saying something to our server on the way to the bathroom to even get his attention to come to our table and when I told him to take a look at that sandwich and to just remove it from the ticket I didn’t want to wait any longer everyone else was half way through their food he got snippy with me. He was lax on taking anything from our table to make room and then the one thing I did have a drink ran dry while he got everyone else one. Took my son telling him how about you at least fill my dads cup seems he didn’t even get to eat anything. Felt like he was awfully rude to the guy paying the bill, then had nerve to ask me to do the survey about his performance. So I did and I’m sure he didn’t like it or the tip by that point I didn’t care anymore. I worked 2 jobs to put myself through college and take care of my family. I know what living off tips is like, but I also know being disrespectful, not keeping the guy paying the bill happy isn’t gonna get you a good tip or a survey if you got the guts to ask for it.
