Chipotle has been our favorite place to eat for the last few years. The service and cleanliness at Kokomo HAD been above the average. Many times in the past I made a point to complement the staff of how well they did. This has drastically changed in recent visits. I always get the Veggie burrito with Veggie and guacamole. The last several times veggies weren't available even though one time they were cooking a large amount for a catering order. This time they weren't even available and the comment was made by an employee that ppl pig out on them so they're just not fixing them. The guacamole wasn't available and wouldn't be any time soon. I spoke to the manager and there was no apology for lack of supplies just a very very rude attitude. That's the last time we make a special trip from Peru to Kokomo to get such poor service from the manager. Seriously... a Veggie burrito without veggies and Guacamole! It was the worst burrito I'd had. I don't understand why they consistently are out of veggies and sometimes guacamole when they're very popular items. Today Kokomo Chipotles was a dirty mess. I wonder if the manager is burnt out or just a poor manager. There were plenty of ppl there working. Next time I'll gladly drive anywhere other than Kokomo to get my Chipotle fix. A kind manager can make a huge difference! Chipotle please hire...
Read moreThis place is such a hit and miss because they almost always are out of something and the staff is the worst, but today really knocked it out of the park.
I went around 1:00 since I was in the area and come to find out, they don’t have the Al Pastor anymore (which was really the best protein they had). Okay, whatever, but they were ALSO out of just the regular chicken. So I opted for the steak (more on that later).
I got a bowl, and they gave me the puniest amount of ingredients. I’m paying for a bowl that was only 1/3 filled, at best. I also paid for some chips, which they forgot about until I reminded them.
When I get home and eat, I realize the steak was mostly fat (even my husband wouldn’t eat it) and the chips were stale. Totally not worth the $13 (!!!) I paid and I ended up not even finishing it because it was just inedible.
But the “best” part of this experience? The person who prepared my food was disturbing as heck. If you’ve been there recently, you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s enough to turn anyone off their appetite and I’m sure glad I didn’t have my daughter with me...
Read moreI love chipotle, hands down. I would rate it better if they actually listen to what you want on your meal. I sometimes feel awkward walking in there because the moral is a little off setting. Sometimes I get a nice person who actually smiles and doesnt seem too rushed. I am updating my original review now to 2 stars because they choose to only do order online pickups now. Im not wasting my time to drive just to eat in the car.
Let me add that the most recent visit they are going down hill so I guess I'll give them a 1star. I paid extra for guacamole on the side and they act like it's gold and don't want to give people anything. Plus they were out of veggies and this was a typical time with no reason to be out of anything. Maybe I'll rate them better if they stop being so selfish with the portions. I paid 30 dollars for scraps.
Never had a visit where they had no guacamole, what a great place to eat.
Update 10/20/23 No guacamole ready for customers when the doors are open on a weekday. How many more times will there be no ingredients present when yall are charging...
