Snooze, an A.M. Eatery — Restaurant in Kyle

Today was my first time visiting this location. The customer service and team were very professional, the location was clean and well organized. My only issue was the food quality here is not the same as other snooze locations. This location’s food does not taste like the other snooze locations, I noticed a lack of flavor and quality. For example I ordered the snooze burrito and made it vegan. The burrito was very very dry and hard in some places, the tofu was not cooked and the burrito had absolutely no flavor. Generally the tofu is cooked with salt pepper and onion powder at other locations but the tofu in my burrito had no flavor. My spinach was not cooked and it was very stringy, the mushrooms were barely cooked also. My burrito didn’t have enough green sauce on top and the pico lacked flavor I tasted no lemon, limes, or cilantro in it. It seems that the cooks are making the food their own instead of adhering to the flavor profiles for snooze. I think the cooks could use some more training on food presentation and how to prepare tasty/flavorful food. The burrito was terrible. However I am willing to give this place another try. Next time I’ll know to inform the server how I want my food prepared but I normally don’t have to do that at other locations. Been here 4-5 times now, and it's been great every time. The food is fantastic, my husband and I have tried different menu items every time we've been here and everything has been amazing. The shrimp and grits are a particular standout, and also the pancake flight. The service has been great- keep in mind that this place just opened, and there's not really any brunch places around besides things like IHOP and Denny's, and this place has been packed every time. But the waitstaff are all so nice and cheerful- 2 of the times we've been here we just went to sit at the bar (it's full service) so that we didn't have to wait for a table, and the staff at the bar area are really attentive. While they've got this big rush from opening, I recommend getting their app (or you can do it through the Yelp app) and joining their waitlist before you get to the restaurant. That way you don't have to wait very long once you get there- and unlike people who only get on the waitlist when they arrive there in person, you can get seated very soon after you physically arrive at...
