(09/28/23) This is a small Thai place, I would not recommend bringing a family of 5+ because the seating is limited and the tables are small.
If you're coming to make a pickup order and want to wait, there are about 5 seats for waiting.
We ordered spring rolls, vegetable yellow curry, chicken pad thai, and teriyaki chicken (I believe). The spring rolls were big, but they didn't make them with meat, and they only gave me one peanut sauce, which was only enough for one springroll. The yellow curry was good, I'd say medium spice. Chicken pad Thai was good, and my husband liked his teriyaki chicken but expected it to be fried and a bigger portion. He said he wouldn't order it again but is looking forward to trying their other stuff. They put both of our rice in one container, which I would rather it be in its own container, but oh well.
We plan on coming back and trying their other foods.
(10/12/23)- Update Unfortunately, I am going to have to drop two stars..
I ordered a tofu dish and got chicken, even though my receipt that was taped on the bag also said tofu, I still got chicken, and I "hate" chicken. This was clearly the kitchen's fault, not the lady that took the order, but either way, it's disappointing for the front staff who also didnt double check my order prior to packing. At this point, we were already at home, and it was late. Well, THEN, on the same dish, I also found a hair "deep" in the dish... 🤢. I can't..🤮🤮.
On a side note, I also ordered a crab cream egg roll appetizer that came with four pieces, and the amount of sauce they included was very little, I would recommend more. Either way, I don't think I'll be ordering takeout any time soon. In general 😖..
Update (01/05/24) Decided to give it a try again (since there are not a lot of options in Kyle for soup).
We ordered takeout, and were told that it would be ready if 15/20minutes, I was surprised when they gave us a call to inform us that our food was actually ready in 15minutes, so that was nice. When we arrived, the place was packed, barely any walkway without stumbling into people/waiters, reminding me that the place was indeed small. I was able to see the separate sushi menu, which I could not find online, and took pictures of it to post. The front cashier was SO quiet, I could barely hear what she was saying when we paid for our food. Once we got home, I realized that we did not get our thai tea, so I had to call to get refunded. Food wise, we ordered Tom Kha Noodle (tofu), Pad Woon Sen, and some dumplings as apps, it was good.
(09/26/24) I came here as they were opening and had a good service and good...
Read moreThis place had been open for a few weeks. We figured we would let the traffic die down before going in. We pop in around dinner time. We were immediately seated. The server took our drink orders. We ordered spring rolls to start out. They came quickly. These were not what I expected. They had a strong flavor of cilantro in them and were all veggie. I only ate one piece. We did not eat the rest. The woman who was taking our order looked very overwhelmed. I had ordered Mongolian Beef and we ordered some Chicken Pad Thai. We sat for over an hour waiting for our food. The lady did come by to refill our waters, but most tables were waiting on dishes. The dining room is an awkward set up, as patrons squeeze past you to get to the register. We finally get our food almost an hour later. The dinner plates are small. I usually request part of it to go. The Mongolian beef had a small sweet flavor to it and was tender. The veggies were crispy. I did expect more flavor in the dish and larger portions, especially for $15. The Pad Thai was just "ok". I have had better Pad Thai elsewhere. The server asked us if we wanted a box for the spring rolls. We told her they were not what we were expecting. She could have at least taken them off the bill.
I had kept seeing these really horrible reviews for this place and kept telling people to give them a chance. Now I can see why people have been talking bad about this place. The service was horrible and the food was "meh". I would suggest they use the other counter and use that to prep "to go" orders. I had really high hopes for this place. I was sadly...
Read moreSecond time eating here, the first time it was really good when we dined in for dinner but we took leftovers home and tried to heat them up the next day for lunch, it smelled so bad that we tossed them and waited a bit to go back. The second time we ate here a couple weeks ago it was unacceptable. I ordered a smoothie and saw that it came from one of those automated machines which is fine, except for she didn’t rinse or wash the smoothie pitcher in between drinks and the top of the pitcher is open with no cover, which seems pretty unsanitary. Then there were two employees with gloves on behind the front counter, a young male and a young female, who were playing with each other’s hair (not something you do in a restaurant at all) and (even worse) did not change their gloves. We got our food and my boyfriend said his didn’t taste like it did last time but it didn’t necessarily taste bad so he ate it. My food tasted fine, not great, just fine. Then a few days later, we got food poisoning 🙃 The sushi bar never looks fresh. Both times we’ve been in here, the fish is pre-sliced and sitting on ice in an open cooler under loose saran wrap and the sushi chef is on his phone with his food service gloves on. The service is okay, both times we’ve went, it’s been one middle aged lady serving the entire restaurant, who is generally nice. We were really sad to have to stop coming here because the first time it tasted so good, sans the no good leftovers. I personally loved the cream cheese rolls and would say they were the highlight of both...
