Long John Silver's — Restaurant in La Grange

I only come here when Im visiting Lagrange for Dr. Visits. So I like to say this is a treat for me because there's not too many locations left open. Unfortunately its not. 3rd times the charm. My 1st visit was in September of 24..my order was incorrect. I shook it off..said I'll try again. We'll I came by during our big snow storm. I got stuck in the drive thru..because they had everything clear BUT the drive thru. All slush. I got my 52yr old handicap self out and shoveled the drive thru so I could back out, as 2 young workers watched..1 asked " are you good" the other said "*uck it shes got it". I then parked and went in a got my order as I was waiting on my order I was being talked about by the staff and they said it isn't their job to shovel. So....that was bad visit #2. I was just not going to return. Wasnt even going to do a review. Well..its now June..maybe things changed...nope. The new menu boards had nothing on it showing what to order in regards to combos..so I had to pull up to the window and ask the guy what combo to get. I decided on 1 fish 1chkn combo. But add on 1 piece chicken and 2 piece fish. So thats..2 chicken 3 fish total. I went over this at the window 3 times with the guy. He seemed like he just didnt get it. Just rang up whatever. Stiĺl He did a 1fish 1chicken combo add on 2 chicken 3 fish. So I showed him receipt. He refunded me I think. I dont see it yet. Then when I got home ..3 chicken 2 fish. Wrong again. Its like who gives a crap. Its fast food so I should except it? The only thing consistent here is the inconsistencies. There is no pride in customer service..Noone pays attention or they might be " impaired" to the point they just do whatever. Its sad. Yeah its fast food..but its not cheap fast food. Sometimes its hard when you have a handicap and dont have the strength to cook..so you treat yourself. Its also hard to have a handicap and get out and shovel snow too in the drive thru. I am definitely thru with La Grange Long...

LJS left my city in Florida over 20 years ago. Even when I travel to Kentucky to see relatives I rarely have the time to get there. This trip I made it a point so my brother and I had a weekday lunch. That old familiar smell enveloped me as I walked in from the tiny crowded parking lot. Once in the heat from no air conditioning almost drove me away. However we ordered. I imagine the heat was wearing on the staff because they were low effort. I went to wash up and the mens room was disgraceful. Reminded me of one you’d see in 1930 at a rural fillin’ station. I decided my hands would be less clean had I went in further than the one step before I turned around. The drink station needed attention. I was satisfied with my lunch but the hot dining room really took away from my enjoyment. I wanted to give LJS a great review but this location on the day I visited was quite dismal and made me sad that after driving over a thousand miles to KY and going out of my way to LaGrange that THIS was...

The inside of this Long John Silvers is filthy. The entire inside needs a major renovation. The service was okay; however, all young guys behind the counter. After I placed my order I sat in one of the booths to wait for my to go order, and witnessed the guy who waited on me tell his coworker that he has a pimple on his cheek and needed to pop it. Unfortunately the coworker took his advice and popped the pimple right there in the kitchen. How nasty is that? Thankfully he washed his hands, but still who wants to see that when you’re getting ready to eat! The food wasn’t much better. I ordered a three piece fish meal with fries and green beans. Instead I got three piece chicken meal. The chicken and hush puppies were soaked with grease and cold. I also ordered two grilled salmon tacos and they were also cold. The entire meal was just nasty. I won’t be returning to this location...
