Now THIS is what I call a magnificent craft sandwich shop...and so much more!!
Hubby and I popped in for a sampling of breakfast food, and while waiting, he got a fresh cup of Rhost cofffee, while I sipped on some refreshing blood orange juice (a must try!). Every employee we encountered was smiling and genuinely happy to help us.
It all starts with the bun. The sandwiches come on a toasted milk bun, which I have never experienced but immediately thought "Where have you been all my life?". It's the perfect amount of tender & fluffy. Just wait, you're not ready:) Oh, and I really appreciate the vegetarian option of impossible sausage.
Okay, so here's what we tried, and our take, in no particular order...
Scramble Me Softly- classic egg sandwich made with the fluffiest eggs I've ever had, piled high on a toasted milk bun with the perfect amount of seasoning, melted cheese and even caramelized onions. Yum! 2 thumbs up.
Bacon Egg and Cheese - hubs loved this one (I'm not a meat eater) and couldn't believe how much bacon could actually fit on a sandwich. I believe copious was the word he used...and he ate every bite lol. Another thumbs up.
The Country Fried Chicken - yummmm, perfectly cooked buttermilk fried chicken on top of an egg, with warm dill pickles (not a fan of pickles on a sandwich but this really works!). This comes with a side of sausage gravy, which I didn't try, but hubs devoured with every dip. 2 thumbs up.
The Ben Franklin - think Eggs Benedict (I see what they did here :). While hubs loved the presentation almost as much as the taste, I tried just the egg & English muffin slathered in hollandaise sauce with truffle arugula, and it was pure joy for my taste buds. We gave this 2 keys up (see what we did here?)
The Breakfast Sausage Burrito with Impossible "Sausage" - hmmm, perhaps this was my favorite. A masterpiece for the taste buds loaded with eggs, beer battered potatoes (what?!? ) cheese, impossible "sausage" (yes you can get regular sausage) all wrapped up in a warm tortilla that I dipped it in a spicy salsa verde. Perfection.
Since all food is cooked fresh to order be prepared to wait just a few minutes longer than fast food, but it WORTH THE WAIT...while you enjoy the light, bright and fun decor with lively music playing.
I greatly appreciate the community focused, locally sourced food prepared with love. Please give this restaurant a try. We need more mall businesses like this in our community. I can't wait to come back and try some lunch menu items and perhaps a beer too. Yep, they...
Read more🌯 The Smothered Yard Pimp (Buttermilk fried chicken, country sausage gravy, soft scrambled eggs, beer battered potatoes, cheddar jack, salsa verde) - This burrito is huge! It’s like a southern breakfast in a burrito! Lots of gravy and those soft scrambled eggs are amazing! ☕️ Hot Drip Coffee - Coffee is a little on the bitter side but pairs nicely with breakfast. 🥔 The Breakfast Poutine (Beer Battered potatoes, buttermilk popcorn chicken, country sausage gravy, poached fresh-cracked egg, cheddar jack, roasted pepper chimichurri, chives) - I love poutine so I definitely had to get this! It did not disappoint! The potatoes are crispy and the gravy is lusciously thick. Egg was perfectly poached with a nice running yolk. ☕️ Cold Brew Coffee - A little on the bitter side for a cold brew. Added agave syrup and cream to balance it out. 🍔 The Truffle Crunch Burger (Certified angus beef, sharp cheddar, arugula, white truffle spread, crispy fried onion, smoked jalapeño, ketchup, toasted milk bun) - Truffle aroma is strong which I love but didn’t really taste it. Burger was a little dry but that cheddar cheese made up for it. It had a sharp cheddar flavor along with a creamy texture. I could eat that cheese forever! 🥩 Ribeye Steak & Egg (Thin-sliced ribeye asada, sharp cheddar, fresh-cracked over medium egg, lemon dressed arugula, caramelized onions, roasted pepper chimichurri, smoked paprika spread, toasted milk bun) - This sandwich is full of flavor! It’s like having steak & eggs breakfast in a bun. And the bun… fabulous! It was toasted perfectly for a little crunch yet pillowy on the inside. And that cheddar cheese… Can’t wait to order this again with the...

Seriously. If you've come across my review it's probably early morning and you're craving a breakfast burrito, am I right or am I right ;D?
I've been here multiple times and wasn't too impressed until I tried the Ribeye Asada Breakfast Burrito. I crave breakfast burritos often, I mean OFTEN, and this one really hit the spot.
The location is in a small strip mall on Harbor Blvd. with several neighboring businesses. Parking is limited and I've seen people park at the urgent care next door and walk when spots aren't available.
Inside, there's a few tables if you decide to dine in and there's also seating outside. There's cute signage and décor all around, definitely IG photo worthy.
Alright, alright, how was the burrito?
Ribeye Asada Breakfast Burrito: Soft scrambled eggs, beer battered potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, smoked paprika spread, and ribeye asada. Served with fresh salsa verde. Food coma in a wrapper. Huge pieces of tasty ribeye with plenty of everything else. The tortilla was a little crispy, which I loved. It didn't break apart easily and complimented the soft ingredients. I didn't use the included salsa, because it was good already!
Service was good, though the only interaction I had was when I ordered food at the counter. The person at the register helped me with a smile!
I recommend this breakfast burrito for sure, and I'll definitely be back to try the...
