I wanted something other than Asian food. I was really excited because I haven't had Mexican food in a while.
Parking: There's a small plaza, so finding a spot can be a hit or miss.
Ambiance/Environment: I looove the decor here. The colors, pictures, and warm ambiance felt like i was transported to Mexico. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating.
Service: Shout out to Jenny! She was the only server, and she was courteous, attentive, and efficient. She constantly checked on me to ensure I was still doing good. Throughput was also quick after ordering.
Food & drinks:
Huevos con machaca - Dry aged shredded beef cooked in peppers, onions, tomatoes, and scrambled with two eggs. They serve breakfast all day! What?! This is similar to an omelette but scrambled and served with beans and rice. I really enjoyed this dish!
Pozole - Traditional Mexican red soup with chunks of pork & hominy. Wow .. this is the most authentic pozole I've had in a while. It is served with the usual lettuce, radish, and limes. There was a generous amount of pork and hominy. Sooo flavorful!
Quesabirria tacos - I looove quesabirria! Make sure to drench the taco in the consome to give it more flavor. These are their most popular tacos, and I could definitely tell why.
Mixed fajitas - Their fajitas are back! This contained a mixture of chicken, steak, & shrimp. This came out on a smoking hot plate. I decided to go with corn tortillas. This was also served with the usual sides of fresh avocado, beans, rice, and salsa. The proteins were cooked and seasoned well.
Chile relleno & hard shell taco combination - A chile filled w/ cheese, dipped in a light egg batter, fried, & covered with salsa ranchera & cheese. I ordered this combo with a beef hard shell taco. The chile relleno was sooo delicious! The chile is a green pepper stuffed with cheese and fried. I love how generous they are with the salsa ranchera. This was also served with rice and beans.
Campechana - seafood cocktail shrimp, octopus, and abalone. This was recommended to me. This dish became popular through socials. Presentation was on point. This is more on the sweeter side and served with crackers.
Mango margarita - I love me some margaritas! The mango flavor definitely came through.
Michelada - I ordered this with Corona beer. The spices were on point.
Pricing: I absolutely enjoyed everything! Each dish was filled with authentic...

Food: Home made food! You can really tell that the food is cooked fresh small. Food tastes fresh and order to cook. On certain days, some of their food items are only available on those specific days. I ordered the albondigas.... The meatballs were massive, the broth with savory, and the vegetables or fresh! They also have great enchiladas, posole, taco salad and great salsa. I also enjoy their carne asada.
Servic: Family-owned ❤️ friendly reception and attentive customer service every time I go. Usually the husband and wife are cooking and serving, and sometimes the daughters are there serving as well. Great hospitality.
Final Thought: a staple for any of those that are looking for great Mexican food with that homemade taste that other restaurants just don't provide! I...
Read moreGreat what appears to be a family run business. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. I ordered the cafe de olla (black coffee with piloncillo (Mexican brown sugar), and canela (cinnamon)). It was just okay, no real cinnamon taste and just okay.
I ordered the campechana, which was packed to the rim with shrimp, abalone, pulp (octopus), avocado, cucumber, and pico de gallo. My partner had the chilaquiles with steak and eggs. We asked for the green sauce but spicy. It had a nice flavor and a little spice, but it was great. The steak was delicious! So tender. He asked if instead of tortillas he could get toast. The young lady said sure, but did not disclose they would charge $2 for a piece of toast.
Overall, great place with great food and service. We...
