In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in La Habra

I just visited this In-N-Out location at lunchtime. I was in the drive-thru on the right side. I clearly ordered a "4 x 2 protein style" and a regular cheeseburger. As I watched, The car in front of me "HANDED" a protein style burger back inside the restaurant. The person working the window looked and me, and we kept looking at each other. I watched him as he took that protein style burger back in through the window, take it to another station and put a cheeseburger inside a box with a lid. He said, "you ordered a "triple protein style and cheeseburger". I repeated, No, I ordered a 4 x 2 protein style, which was indictated on my receipt and I was charged for. I was not able to get back into the parking lot to go inside and let the manager know because there is only one way in this place and one way out with a car already behind me. So, when I got back to my office with the box, there was that triple protein burger and a cheeseburger. This was the same burger that was "handed" back through the window by another patron. Isn't this a "health" issue ? I'm not looking to get the guy fired but he clearly knew he gave me the wrong item, said nothing, and did not fix it after I repeated what I ordered or give me a refund for the triple burger instead of the 4 x 2. I understand they are busy, but I just don't think food should be handled by a patron and then taken back in through the window to be served to someone else and the ordered should have been checked BEFORE it was...

Update: owners have improved the quality of this location. And it is now as good as the rest of their locations.

Only order full meals from this place, don't come hungry or be in a rush. Snack orders of animal fries and a milk shake will get lost. Better yet just go through the drive thru it will be faster. Placed an order for animal fries and a chocolate shake (order #74 10:01pm) I watched as the shake was made then put aside for 10 mins. Several orders of animal fries and milk shakes where given to guests who ordered after me. When order number 84 was called and still no fries/shake, I asked how long it takes to make animal style fries. It apparently takes a manager to make a partial order of animal fries to go. I asked to speak to the manager but apparently I was not heard. The manager was off to another task before I had the chance to talk with him. After 16 mins my food was ready and the milk shake that I watched sit for 10 mins was offered to me. I asked for a new one. I assumed that a fork would come with the animal fries but it didn't. If you need a fork with your animal fries make sure to ask for one. I have been eating at In n Out for close to 30 years. I prefer their food to almost all other burger joints. I will still dine in at other locations but will only use the drive thru at...

These days, whenever I stop by this place, I leave with such a good feeling. One of the older staff members truly stands out—always hardworking, incredibly kind, and even taking the time to clear plates with a warm smile. His genuine dedication and gentle words have made me fall in love with this spot all over again.
