I preface my review by saying that I do not know a thing about Peruvian food, and that this is my first exposure to this cuisine, so please take my review with a grain of salt.
3 out of 5, fair rating for the food, 4 out of 5 for the overall experience I had. Will probably go back to try a different dish.
I ordered the Loma Saltado. Pros: rice seasoned beautifully, side sauce is wonderfully spicy. The beef had great flavor and the portion size is generous, very filling.
Cons (again, I do not know a thing about Peruvian food): the potatoes (fries) in the dish were soaked with sauce, so they ended up soggy by the time I sat down to eat at home (ordered to go, I live 5 min down the street). The onions, of which there were plenty, were kissed by the grill, bordering on raw. I love onions but felt that the raw zing of this many onions was a bit much on this dish. I didn't care for the tomatoes on this dish.
Would I order the Loma Saltado again? Maybe not. HOWEVER, I will probably go back to the restaurant to try something else!
The inside is clean, well decorated, and the staff I interacted with was very cheerful and helpful. I look forward, actually, to going back and trying...
Read moreFirst time going to this specific location and it was exquisite. I've had Peruvian food before but it felt like it was the first time having it all over again and it was excellent. They allowed dine in which was great because my family and I didn't want to take it home. We ordered 2 lomo saltados, one Jalea the half order, one plate of fried shrimp with rice. For drinks we got a chicha morrada, inka cola, horchata, and water. My kids both loved the food, my husband said it was the best lomo saltado he's had, and yes we LOVED all the food. The place is small and cozy but it was clean and organized. The cashier/server greeted us as soon as we came in and took our order right away. At this place we order and pay first, not like at the other location we've gone before. I definitely recommend this place because the food was delicious, the customer service was great, and its...
Read moreThe food is ok. But after asking 2 times for sauce and after spending $70 on my to go order, the lady only gave me 1 little sauce cup for me and my wife to share. I asked for some in the beggining of my order and when I recoced my food which took 30 minutes. I'm ok to wait, just tell me it will take 30 minutes.
I trusted shd would put at least 3 sauce cups after spending 70 dollars. So I was extremely disappointed when I opened the bags at home and found 1 measley sauce cup. If she had gave me more sauce I wouldn't be writing this..
The kids spaghetti was bland so my kid didn't even eat it. The bistec had no seasoning and the fries were dry and tasteless as well. The Jalen de mariscos was good though. The only thing is they fry their shrimp with the shell on. So we almost choked really bad and didn't bother eating the rest of then shrimp. In fact they only gave us 3 shrimps for...
