Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors — Restaurant in La Habra

Used to eat at pick Up Stix at least once a week sometimes three but the last three or four visits were very disappointing. The service has always been good but the portions and prices have me looking elsewhere. Last time I ordered I think that tiny container of house special chicken was $11 and change😳

I had the pleasure of meeting the founder years ago and he was very proud of the restaurant chain that he had built. I believe he sold it shortly after and you can tell the difference. It seems like everything is getting worse these days for one reason or another and it’s sad to see my beloved Pickupstix follow. Most companies blame Covid for high prices, small portions and poor service but I would point to In-N-Out Burger, Chick-fil-A, Costco and other highly profitable and highly rated companies that are thriving pandemic or not.

We were there for lunch. The dining room would have been nice and comfortable but there was an obnoxious woman camped out in a booth yelling at everyone, and the management did NOTHING. It was horrible. She was obviously high on drugs and she wouldn’t stop yelling. She even came over to our booth and commented on our food. My boyfriend had to tell her to leave us alone. Pickupstix is one of my favorite restaurants but our experience today ruined it. When the woman came to our table I looked at the employees like “please do something” and they just ignored me and looked away. Other people came in and left because she was so obnoxious and trying to talk to them. It should have been handled by the manager, but nothing was done. Had to take out food to go. We...

The food here is always great. Never too long of a line. Always get the lunch special. I had ordered half steamed rice and chow mein. They had accidentally given me fried rice instead. Rather than scoop out the rice they allowed me to keep the extra side and gave me the item I ordered free of charge. They also had forgotten my cream cheese wontons but before I realized they were missing the employee ran out to my car to wave me down to give them to me. Really appreciate the effort!
