My family and I recently purchased 4 custom pizzas from this Pieology in La Mirada. My mom loves Pieology and we go every time she visits, but we recently moved cities and tried this new location. We put in an Online Order since it usually saves us time and usually online orders are made correctly (at least, in my experience with other Pieologies and Mod Pizzas).
I had great faith everything would go well. Man, was I utterly wrong. 3 of 4 pizzas were incorrectly made with missing or added (not requested) ingredients. Each pizza (also the 4th pizza not shown since there were no ingredient issues) was also haphazardly thrown together with either too much ingredients in the center or towards the outside of the crust. I know there were a lot of ingredients, but at least there should be some consistency! Unfortunately, I did not catch this upon pickup as I did not know exactly what everyone had ordered, even though the individual at the counter opened each box. Ultimately we still chose to eat the pizzas rather than have to drive all the way back to Pieology. We were hungry, which added to the displeasure. I don't plan to patron this specific location again. Perhaps the pizza artisan was overwhelmed or perhaps they lacked training. I don't know.

Read moreFood is mediocre but I loved pieology in SD so I kept ordering from La Miranda Blvd as I’ve relocated. However, they lost a customer due to their manager’s unprofessionalism.
For people here for the food review: it’s cheap, but you get what you paid for. I order delivery from here bc I get lazy. Food gets soggy and the quality is so so. It’s not bad, however it’s not good. If I were to rate sole on food they’d get a 5-6/10.
My issue: It’s busy and things happen, I understand. I’m not so mad about them missing items my order or taking 7 calls to pick up the phone, or even that the manager wouldn’t refund me my missing items. I, however am LIVID, the manager dumped the blame on someone else for the missing items when I ordered DIRECTLY through Pielogy and they opted for Uber as their delivery service. They said, “it’s on uber to make sure you have all our items” we’re “only responsible for making your food”. Restaurants seal everything nowadays for consumers safety and it is on the restaurant just as much as it’s on the drivers to double check. And since you guys are “only responsible for making my food” you guys should have made ALL my food. I cannot take it up with Uber as I didn’t order through their app, and even IF I could, I paid YOU for the food. So YOU refund my order and double check your cameras or whatever later and CHECK if the driver did in fact forget or you just didn’t make it then take it up with Uber after. However just dumping the blame on someone else?...
Read moreSo so food. Felt like corner-cutting operations. It's been a couple years since I ate at the Cerritos location which was a good experience. The pizzas felt truly custom made to order and there was a variety of fresh ingredients to choose from. The atmosphere felt fun fast casual. This location was disappointing. The menu was confusing. There was a value meal section which didn't jive with the fast casual category I thought Pieology was striving for. The number of ingredients felt limited. There is a craft your own salad alternative to pizza which one should skip altogether. It's too small for a satisfying meal compared to the pizza. I had a bad feeling as I watched the server painstakingly add the toppings to my salad, as if he was counting every mushroom and red pepper pieces. I thought they must have been trained to be very sparing. The biggest disappointment was the raspberry "vinaigrette". It looked like candy syrup or cough syrup, not a vinaigrette. It ruined my salad. They really should stop serving this immediately. The pizza was ok. The best thing about it was the fresh crust. I am shy about trying new eateries because I am afraid of bad experiences. They are more memorable than good ones. I'm going to remember this...
