I visited this El Pescador location while visiting my family in Buena Park. Of all the times I've gone to eat at El Pescador elsewhere,i have to say this has been by far the worst service we have received going to a restaurant of this chain. We are originally from Ventura County so our restaurant of choice has always been in Santa Paula. Going from great service in Santa Paula to what we experienced today gave me enough of a push to finally make a review. I honestly think I will never go to this location ever again. Not only is this location super small but their accommodations are horrible. We waited about 40 minutes to get a table, the tables were not stable so I was always worried our drinks would be falling off our table the whole time. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. In Santa Paula we usually get a soup appetizer with many of our meals and here there was nothing. I had to ask for it on the side. The tables had no silverware and silverware wasn't brought to our table until all the dishes were served - not until we asked for them. I ordered my typical "fajitas" expecting the sizzling comal with delicious veggies and all three meats - total disappointment. My fajitas were not sizzling and my plate was even missing part of the main course: the shrimp. We had to tell the waitress that we were missing the shrimp and it was brought 15 minutes later. The tortillas were cold, our drinks were not refilled. It was horrible. I didn't finish my plate - it was bland, not what I would have gotten in Santa Paula. All I can say is anyone going to this restaurant is sure missing out on great food and great service from their other sister locations. I will not be returning to this facility. Our money was not well spent (we were a party of 8 and left a generous tip). I felt cheated. We all...

If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and satisfying Mexican food, Tacos & Cerveza Pura Vida in La Mirada is the place to go! I had the pleasure of trying their carne asada burrito and chicken burrito, and both were absolutely amazing.
The carne asada was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with bold flavors, while the chicken burrito was tender, flavorful, and just the right size. Each bite was a perfect balance of fresh ingredients, making it clear that quality is a top priority here.
But what truly sets this place apart is the customer service. This is a family-owned business, and you can feel the passion and care they put into everything—from the food to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
