I really wanted to like this place but it was a little disappointing. The pictures on their website and all over their restaurant looked way better than it actually looked in person.
When we ordered, I was disappointed to hear that they were out of fish tacos and guacamole. They were set to close in an hour. Fish tacos appears to be their signature item though and I was looking forward to trying it.
You walk up to the counter to order and they bring the food to you.
We ordered: 3 Taco combo (Al Pastor, Shrimp and Chicken) Individual Tacos: Al Pastor, Shrimp and Asada
The first thing I noticed was the lack of presentation. The Corn tortillas were not warm and soft. Almost as if they were quickly put together.
Least favorite: Asada
Shrimp- tender but lacking in flavor
Al Pastor- favorite of the 3 tacos. Good flavor. Grilled.
Tacos didn’t have much filling. It seemed like they were trying to stretch out the meat they had since there were people still coming in even though they close at 8pm (for a Friday?)
Chicken taco - not much flavor. Moist.
Rice and beans - tasty
Roasted Yellow Pepper- known for them. Very good. Great roasted flavor with a little sweetness.
Foam plates? Maybe I wouldn’t have minded if the food was amazing. For a restaurant, I would expect something more than foam plates.
Left still feeling hungry 🙁
Not sure I...
Read moreMan I should’ve listened to the reviews but I figured what the hay, I’ll give it a try. First off it was over 80 degrees in there from what the thermostat read and I think that’s probably why the worker was not in the greatest of mood. He just seemed like he was rushing us and bothered!!! Also, they are very stingy with their condiments. He asked me how many Tapatío do I want because I brought a medium size ceviche. I asked for five of the little packets, and he only gave me three, like really those packets can’t cost that much. I also asked him for some salt for the ceviche, and he gave me two of the little packets. I asked for a couple more, and he just seemed bothered. I mean I understand things expensive nowadays, but come on little salt packets. I do give them one thing the ceviche was decent. That’s why I gave them to stars on the food. The shrimp tacos had like two little pieces of shrimp in them.Sadly, this will be the first and last time we step foot in that place. One piece of advice is that your customers are everything without us your restaurant will not succeed. Not trying to be negative just...
Read moreGot 2 crispy crunchy fried battered fish tacos today and they were sooooo good, unfortunately they didn’t have any red sauce but other than that, they were simply amazing. The fried fish wasn’t oily like many places. The five fish Ashley stayed Christie throughout the time of eating. Some places fry their fish but it’s just soggy and oily, not this place. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for more of the sour cream mayo dressing. The tacos were served with freshly sliced cabbage and diced tomatoes. The tacos were $3.25 each.
The service was good, the establishment is very very clean and followed social distancing guidelines very well. The parking lot is big and you will have no problem finding a parking space. I would definitely come back again. Thanks for the delicious tacos and a great time...
