This was the La Porte location.. Very disappointed... I've been to several locations since the 80s when my mom was a waitress at the one in Baytown and I've always loved everything about them.. I don't know if this one has poor leadership, it was a bad day, or we just sat at the unlucky table .... I took my girlfriend there for lunch and it wasn't very busy when we got there... As we looked over the menu a lady brought us chips and salsa that we started eating as we talked about what we would have.. time went on and I watched waiters and waitresses helping the people around us who had Sat down after us but no one had come by our table yet and asked us for our drinks our even to let us know they would be helping us... Finally after we had finished the whole bowl of chips a lady came by and asked us what we wanted to drink... We told her and also said we were ready to order and she said she wasn't out server they they would come back and get our order... The drinks were brought and we continued to wait.. finally the lady who got our drink order came back and said our server was busy and she took our order.. the food arrived pretty quickly after that..I ordered carne guisada and my girl order enchiladas... The only thing she had to say was the rice was good...my carne guisada tasted like it came out of a can... We Sat there for a while disappointed wondering what went wrong with this place... At this point we had still never seen our server, no one had come by to check on us or refill our drinks.. we stopped the lady who took our drink order and asked if we could get the check and she said she couldn't our server would have too.. some time later a guy brought the check we paid and left feeling we wasted Alot of time and money .. I like this chain of restaurants. From what I can tell, they maintain a good rate of quality among the different locations. On my last visit to this location in La Porte, service was polite as usual but a bit puzzling. We went there for an appetizer and some drinks. We ordered margaritas with top shelf tequila. One that we received was perfect, the other didn't seem to have tequila. I watched the bartender as he prepared the drinks and honestly saw that he had missed adding tequila to one of the two drinks. I let the bartender know and he graciously added the tequila. All good. We stayed and had two more drinks each for a total of six drinks between both of us. I asked for the check then after I entered my credit card into the mobile payment device I noticed that it displayed that we had consumed 9 drinks. I let the bartender know that we only ordered six drinks and he went to review the receipt later to come back and say that he had accidentally charged one extra drink. In fact, he had charged us for three extra drinks. He wouldn't budge so I chose to cut my losses and ask for the credit of the one drink that he admitted to overcharging.
