Dollar Tree — Local services in La Porte

I hope that some way, some how, this review gets back to the ... kindhearted, genuine, .... I have no more words... her name is Catherine. Tonight, she checked me out at register 2... i only had a few Halloween decorations, and she didn’t know this, well. she DID know actually.. but not from me... but the last few day’s of my life have been HELL. Catherine and i spoke very little actually, but an old soul like hers recognizes pain behind peoples smiles.

Catherine, I hope you never ever let this cruel world take away your kind heart. I hope you know that every single day you will encounter truly ugly people... but you will also encounter people like me. People like US. You will never truly know the depths that your kindness made waves in my soul... saved i so desperately needed. Never stop being you.

And to management, keep her. Cherish her. Promote her. I’ve worked in management for 12 years now - and THAT skill can’t be taught. The art of compassion... and honesty. THAT is who you want the face of your company to be.

EDIT sometimes the lines build and it’s just one cashier and he’s pretty slow and likes to talk. not sure how the dollar tree system works but maybe the manager on duty should’ve been called for back up if no other cashiers were working?

everything really is a dollar here. they have a great seasonal selection as well as party items such as paper plates and utensils. they have a little bell up front in case the cashier is out on the floor stocking. the cashiers aren’t friendly but they aren’t rude either- they ring you out and...
