I dined here with two of my favorite people tonight, and I'm so glad I saw the sign while visiting another spot in Lavergne! It's a small joint that does a lot of takeaway, so I think we only saw 2 other tables sit and eat while we were there. We spent a lot of time talking, though, as we do. The service was kind and good. She recommended a beer for my friend when they were out of the one she wanted and suggested it well. We got everything we ordered, even at the spice we wanted. And it was well priced and good portions. I of course brought my takeaway containers and have a lunch for later this week. We started with crab Rangoon, egg rolls, and fresh summer rolls. Though all were good, I really enjoyed the fresh summer rolls. I don't like peanuts, but I put some of the chili oil on them and they were divine. I ordered the Thai basil tofu level 6 and it was delicious. I would probably order a 7 next time, but having a 1-10 scale threw me off. I'm so used to 1-5 scales. Despite it not being as spicy as I expected, it was really just so good that I could have eaten it all (and would have been miserably full!). My friends enjoyed their meals as well, and the one who lives in Lavergne was glad it's so close to her house! You have to give them a shot. They're little, but they pack a flavorful punch!

I remember watching a hilarious video of a Thai chef’s reaction to Gordon Ramsey’s take on pad thai - he hated it and said pad thai has to be sweet, sour and salty. I’ve always said “meh” to most pad thai because it was usually 1 or maybe 2 of the characteristics listed above and more often than not…dry. This is at most thai places I’ve been to in Nashville. Tonight - dare I say - I had probably THE BEST Pad Thai dish I’ve ever had. Top 3 for sure. What the Thai chef said finally made sense to me. What I had tonight at CR Noodle house was a beautiful dance of sweet, sour and perfect amount of salt in every strand of wet/juicy noodle packed full of flavor and umami. Whoever was cooking tonight…thank you. Cannot wait to have it again. I’ll gladly drive 30mins to eat just the pad thai. Also ordered pad see ew, appetizer platter and duck panang. Duck panang was tasty, not my favorite way to eat duck - usually love it smoked Korean style - but the curry was very flavorful. Was overshadowed by the incredible pad thai :P Capped the night with Taro Boba tea. Was a great way to end the delicious meal

Great portions of flavorful Thai food. I got the dumplings to share and the Basil fried rice with shrimp. I know the tails add flavor, but I am not a fan of picking the shrimp out to remove the tails! Unfortunately, it was so tasty overall, I ate the entire portion. 30 minutes later all of that rice expanded in my belly and owww! I liked the idea of the banana spring rolls more than I enjoyed the flavor. I got it to go, and whatever the sauce was had spilled out all over inside the bag. My son got the kid's lo mein and enjoyed it even though I ordered it with.... Vegetables! He filled up on veggie spring rolls, however. Kids! My co-worker ordered a coconut milk soup with lemongrass. It smelled wonderful and she said it was very good. She said the little dumplings were lovely. Will certainly go back. The service was friendly and helpful! Very pleasant.
