My son and I are huge fans of great Hawaiian Barbecue and when he moved onto campus at the University of La Verne he called me to share that he had found an amazing place. He is now in his junior year and we have been regulars at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue at least two or three times a month for three years now! The food is all awesome, chicken katsu always cooked perfectly and spam misubi is simply the best around! My son is an offesnive lineman and the portions are big enough to fill him up which is awesome! Highly recomend!

I have been at this Hawaiian Barbecue, once, and it was in September of 2022. The meal, that I have ordered, was delicious, and well-made. The wait line, to order meals, was not long. In addition, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy the meal. The staff, that worked during that shift, were helpful and friendly. Definitely, if anyone is in the area of La Verne, I would recommend to stop by this establishment. The prices, too, are worth it.

I like getting the pokey bowl with white rice and musubi. this place has always been classic to go to. I always prefer the pokey. That’s basically the only thing I get now. I usually get the other combos, but the sleeper is the fry shrimp. Get that with some rice and you’ll be all good. the service is always good when I go there and is basically the same staff, which is cool. Classic.

Been meaning to leave a review. Been going to this L&L since day 1, and never had a bad experience. The OG cooks always make the food to delicious perfection! Everyone one of the workers have always been super kind and accommodating. For the past 5 years my father hasn't been able to eat beef, and he was sad cuz he always loved their moco loco. But, they were so kind as to make it with their delicious bbq chicken instead. Which my dad loves, and has been ordering ever since. A lot of restaurants don't care about their customers health, nor dietary needs. But this restaurant always has. That's why they will outlast every other restaurant here, and will always be the #1 Hawaiian BBQ. Please never change for the worst, nor change to cut costs, just to save a few bucks. Just as you take care of us, we will take care of you. With our continuous unwavering loyalty, and our solid recommendations to family, friends, and strangers.

Sheesh now I'm craving a BBQ Chicken plate on a bed of Brown Rice with all Mac, a Spam Musubi, and a...

Came here on lunch today Ordered BBq Rib double macaroni. When I received my plate I asked for Katsu sauce she said it's 55 cents! I opened my plate I have ALL macaroni no rice. I never paid for sauce nor explained double macaroni. Then it hit me after I left this is not Uno Hawaiian bbq where this is how I place my order and don't pay extra for sauce. The macaroni is horrible And the rib is salty & tough If I had time I would take this right back. I wrote/emailed corporate but I know that’s really not gonna do any good reading the reviews the owner only respond to positive reviews. I want to know how can I get my $20 refunded and you should put a disclaimer that your food is extra salty for people with high...

They offer specials that are relevant and bring great value to their guests. Easy phone ordering and pick up. They make your food fresh when you order and they provide extra sauce when requested.

This spot is a bit tricky to find if it's your first time visiting. The front door is facing away from the street, and facing towards Target. There is ample parking in front of the restaurant but sometimes there is a bit of a wait because this is a popular spot in this neighborhood.

I am partial to their chicken katsu, macaroni salad, and SPAM musubis but the other offerings do not...
