So the food is great. Well made and decent portions for decent prices.
the two stars off the review just involve the service. I don't usually leave reviews like this unless it's been a couple of times that it's happened. But several times we've been there we just had to wait a really long time even though the restaurant wasn't crowded for someone to come take our order. every time a very confused waitress came up to us and said they didn't know what happened.
I'm not sure if it's the management or if they don't have a good system for a signing the wait staff.
today was extremely slow, my mom and I were sitting there with our menus on the edge of the table making eye contact with every waitstaff that came by but they never said anything. Eventually I actually started tapping my fork on the table, slowly getting louder and louder until somebody finally asked a court order. That was about 20 minutes after we got seated.
This was at like 9 a.m. on a Wednesday, there were maybe one third of the tables full of people, no more than 20 people total and at least 5 waiters and three hostesses and it still took them about 20 minutes to take our order.
the weird part is the fact that the wait staff kept making eye contact with this clearly sorry menus smiled at us but just kept walking.

Read moreI’m so confused by all these reviews. I’m guessing we went on an off day? I ordered the Bloody Mary flight, two breakfast entrees and the trio dessert tray. It took very long to get everything to us. The bloody Mary’s were room temp, if not warm. I had to ask for a cup of ice to actually drink some of it. Our food took SO long, and we didn’t get drinks refilled or napkins for a long time. We were ready to cancel the dessert when it finally came out, and the pancake had a hair on it. When we got the servers attention to tell her, she took the plate, looked for the hair and just said “ok.” No “I’m sorry” or anything. When she came back she said “I poured the icing myself, I don’t know how that got there, must of have been the wind.” We got the impression she thought we put the hair on there? Which, why would we do that when we just waited so long to get it. She didn’t apologize, just defended herself, which is SO bizarre for the situation. She brought us another plate, but nothing was comped. Not for the time or the hair. We could not wait to get out of there. The whole experience was weird, which is a shame because we were really looking forward to trying a Broken Yolk Cafe. Maybe we’ll try...

The interior is minimally decorated with painted walls, multiple televisions and some stock corporate signage. But, hey, it’s new.....
My wife ordered one of their Mexican breakfast dishes. Cold and bland. She sent it back after one attempted bite. 5 minutes later the woman at the table next to us returned the same dish as “inedible.”
I have worked with many restaurants and I get that it’s a new location, but you only have one chance to make a good impression. When two meals are returned uneaten to the kitchen, someone needs to stick a needle in the manager. Instead of writing apologetic responses after bad reviews, the manager should have been alerted and apologized directly to both women. We waited for 10 minutes to see if there would be any response other than the waiter asking her to order something else after my food was already on the table. We grew bored of waiting and paid our bill with the cashier because the waiter had vanished.
We’ll try again next month but as of today,...
