La Verne Towne Center — Local services in La Verne

I'm go here for Staples and Marshalls. LOVE THEM BOTH!!🤗 But the reason I only give the center 3 stars is because the staff at both El Pollo Loco and Target ( staff and management) leave ALOT to be desired. 😒. Over the years I've seen both places decline in the customer service/staff choices. Over the past 5-10 years I was noticing the unprofessionalism of the La Verne Target staff and floor supervisors (quite obvious and with customers near) , but I loves Target, it was convenient for me and I continued to do ALOT of my dad's tot day purchases here. But about 2 years ago I finally experienced a situation that was handled so poorly, so rude and unbelievable ( and involved poor judgement and skills from employees that ranged between floor staff through upper management) I have , LITERALLY, boycotted shopping at ANY Target ever since. I will drive out of my way to NOT...

I primarily go to this location for the CVS pharmacy. I wasn't sure how to specifically write about them, so I'll leave it here.

If you're in need of a CVS, the employees here are among the nicest people I've met. They're knowledgeable and so willing to help you manage and use a new medication, as well as reach out to your doctor for refills in a timely manner. I've been going here for 2 years!

As for the target now, it's been recently remodeled a bit. It feels a lot more open while still maintaining the ability to find what you need fast. It almost has the flow of a Costco or Sam's Club, but without the feeling of a massive warehouse. They've done a really good job at making this a comfortable environment to walk around in and I often find myself coming here to grab a Starbucks and walk around. Went there to purchase an apple gift card that you can put your own amount on. Asked a cashier and she told me to go to electronics. While they did have a higher dollar amount, it was not what I wanted and the guy there told me to go to checkstand 7 or 11 because that's where they have the one I wanted. Of course checkstand 7 and 11 were closed so I asked a different checker and that was a mistake! This one didn't listen to a word I said and forced me to listen to her rhetoric about how "did I check these...these are $15 and these are $25...you can get a Target one and use it anywhere....oh no, you can't just put whatever amount you want...." Yikes!!!!! I think I would have had better luck with Kristen Wiig!! (An SNL reference). I walked away while she was still talking about whatever it was she wanted to say about nothing.
