This used to be one of my favorite places to order from. But today, I placed an online order and my card was charged and I got the confirmation email. I get to the restaurant to pick up my food and I open the app to click ‘I’m here’ as the instruction say. I clicked it and then the app closed and would no longer show anything upon reboot. I call the store and inform them I have an order for pick up but the app wasn’t allowing me to say I’m here. A gentleman comes out and says they can’t seem to find my order in the system. I showed him the email as well as my bank account with the charge on there. He says, “I’m going to grab a manager”. (I would’ve gone inside to handle this except I had my dog with me and will not leave her alone in the car). The manager comes out and I show her all the same information. She goes inside and comes back out several minutes later and says that she’s checked both systems and the order isn’t in there. She said, “I can submit a ticket for a refund”. I say, we’ll I don’t mind paying for the food, I just want to get the food. She says, “well, I’m confident that charge wont stay on your account. But I’m happy to make the food”. I knew what she was saying was, “I’ll make you the food but I’m gonna have to charge you again”. Which, by the end of a very frustrating conversation, was indeed what she was saying. I told her I’ve already paid as my card was charged and this seems to be an error on their end. She offered no actual solution other than have $100 withdrawn from my account instead of $50.
I, like most people, barely make ends meet. And I’m not going to give more money and then have to return to the store and get a refund whenever it MIGHT be approved. This was always my special treat to myself within my budget and yet, their error would cost me double for my food. I have worked in the restaurant business and never, have I ever had or seen something handled so poorly at the fault of the restaurant.
And no, I didn’t...
Read moreDescribe my experience at chilis on 84th street? Many, many words come to mind. Absolutely none of them being positive. My family and I were say by the most undisciplined child that's ever been in my presence. Running up and down through the restaurant and scream. Now, I know that chilis staff can't do anything about that. That isn't the reason that I've gave a one star. We order guacamole, salsa, and chips as an app. Our guacamole definitely wasn't freshly made. As it has been turning brown and had a off putting taste. Now, to my own personal meal. The pork fajita, wow. Just wow. Most of the actual pork was inedible. Extremely burnt to the point I couldnt physically bite through it, as I feared for my teeth. I'm assuming that two full sized onions were placed onto my plate followed by a few strips of green pepper. Made me miss being in the Army. My father had beef tacos. Which, only one had about a teaspoon of cheese. In total, he guessed about two tablespoons of beef was actually used. So, this is my summary of chilis on 84th street. Please if you're reading this, use caution. You can definitely choose a...
Read moreBeen 4 or 5 years since I've gave Chili's a chance, my last experience was not great, this one let me know to write them off for good.
Chipotle and Qdoba have better food which is kidna sad for Chili's.
$10.39 for the saddest nachos I've ever seen, it was 12 chips, that tasted like they were thrown in the microwave with a little cheese on them, a spoon of lettuce and a spoon of soup cream, for 11 dollars!
The Fajitas my wife had were salty to the point it was hard to eat, the veggies were like mush, no doubt old or frozen than microwaved.
I had a Chipotle chicken bowl, not sure what kind of chicken they are using but it's very artificial tasting, if it's real chicken it's been pressed together and formed to look like a chicken breast it's very smooth and fake looking.
Kind of felt bad for the employees because no way they can stay in business with food like this.
They just opened this location so I was hoping it had some new life and fresh feel to it, unfortunately it felt like a dying chain serving subpar food at prices you can get...
